Micro niche with low monthly searches

This is my first time trying youtube + CPA and have found a niche which has 3600 monthly searches but has low competition with one other video on youtube offering the same. I was thinking of finding another niche with more searches but need a second opinion.

That is a good niche with low competition. Try and do some testing, and when it works, upscale.

I agree, go for it! The number of searches is not so low if you achieve a good ranking. Good luck
