Micro Niche Site Vs Authority Site

Hello guys, I am new in BHW and IM. I want to learn SEO but want to earn some $$ side by side. As I am learning day by day but earning nothing so I decided to make a website to earn from Google. I want to ask my seniors which is better a Micro niche site or an authority site? Which will make more money when done SEO too? I am hiring SEO shark for SEO services. So any views about them are welcomed.
