Hi everybody,

After reading a lot on this forums I said it's time to action - I won't get more money by reading and reading so I gotta do something so I decided to create a micro-niche site. I got Market Samurai, did some researched and I got a long-tail keyword made out of 3 words which pays great but there are many results and lot of competition. But adding different words after that I managed to get to smaller niches with competition I know I can bet. So this goes as following
- keyword1 - per MS CPC is $7.72, google results 110.000, competition is almost all green (only site in red in the last columns with title, header etc and 1 site in orange). Even if I don't get first should be pretty easy to reach first page.
- keyword2 - per MS CPC is $4.18, google shows 81.000 results, competition - 2 websites in red, the others green.
- keyword3 - per MS CPC is $2.36, google shows 238.000, competition is all green
- the general keyword (the one made out of 3 words) has CPC $4.96 and 252,000 results in google at singular and 143,000 at plural :)

In Google adwords k1&2 has 260 global searches each, k3 has 16 and the general keyword has 12.100. I know that ideally the keywords should have more searches in Google but I want to start with something easier so I can test the waters, see if I can really make it on the first position. Idea is if I get at least the first page for these keywords I should start ranking pretty well for the general keyword as it's included in all of them.

And my question after the entire story - In google adwords the CPC amount is different from the one in MS and not just by a couple of cents. The one that shows $4.18 in MS, google says $1.1. The one that shows $7.72, in Google says $0.85 and the one that is $2.36 google says $0.78. I would say that if the CPC would be $7.72 it's worth those 260 searches per month, but if the CPC is $0.85 it's definitely not worth it. So what figure is closer to reality, the one from MS or the one from Google?

Thanks!

people are making only $2 - $5 per micro site
more sites more earnings

1- Are those keywords "call to action" ones?
2- Have you checked the advertiser's competition? If it is low, forget about that CPC.
3- All those kws you mentioned, are they exact match or broad search? If broad forget about it.

Micro niche is just a word used to describe sites which discuss a very particular topic (leg cramps in hawaii). If you can write 20k words about the topic, who cares if it is a microniche or a macroniche...

The point is the amount of content and pages which you are able to include. If this amount is going to equal to 4 pages with 300 words each, then forget about it, it wont rank and it wont be "liked" by google.

Best of luck tho

1 - they are not call to action, they are products
2 - in google adwords competition is high at all of them - 3 of them have 1
3 - never thought of that. they were broad, at exact match i'm getting instead of 260, 110 and 91...and at the big one instead of 12.100 it's 3.600.

you just made my day...worse

regarding content, I can write that, but I don't know If I can do 20k words on this topic. I think I can do at least 10 articles with original content, not spun or anything...also the product is on amazon so I was thinking of having some aff links also

3.6 still decent.
Specially if they are products and it is low competition.
About your day worse, dont worry, if you dont like the numbers, keep researching and enhance your skills, youll hit something really good soon enough.
Dont feel bad if someone breaks your plans, feel good, learn from it and grow bigger. As my sig says, if you wanna be a diamond, you gotta get cut.

Best of lucky dude!

Are you basing those click prices on what you are expected to receive in adsense? Or just commercial intent? Because if its adsense you can't go by the bing numbers since they aren't the ones paying you :)

if there is no high competition in your mns then you will rank with 5-10 articles + some amazon products and hand written reviews etc...
but expect to get outranked as soon as somebody invades your mns with a little more and better content.

Google will put you in 1st position coz there is nothing else to put.

this is how i work and thats how most of my mns r in top 3 with automated crap

per day probably.

daddymax - that is what I was thinking also. most of the websites are complete junk, are there just because those keywords were mentioned once in their content...I think I'm gonna go ahead with this. I will invest $10 to get the domain, I can host it free of charge and with $10 in fiverr gigs with some social bookmarks and blog comments I should be there. I will do the articles pretty fast and that's that. I'll try to add articles once every 3-4 days although I will run out of ideas pretty fast :)
considering that on other 3 sites I get like .1 per day (from all three), .8 from one site will be brilliant :)
