Micro-Continuity Membership Sites on WordPress

I see all these micro-continuity stuffs, but I don't understand them. So I have a few questions that I would like answered.

1. What is a micro-continuity site?
2. What are the contents of micro-continuity sites?
3. What are the usual payment period for such sites?
4. When do you normally add content(dripping)?

Micro-continuity is a synonym of membership so members pay a monthly payment to access your pages

2. What are the contents of micro-continuity sites?
It's all up to you man, could be articles, dvds, videos, whatever you want

3. What are the usual payment period for such sites?
It's usually 1month payment

4. When do you normally add content(dripping)?
Everything is automated to you can choose which content you're going to release each week/month. So let's say you want to set up a 12months program you can add like 4months of content right away and then add the others 8months when you want, well before that your first members is at month 5... After your 12months are all done you can let just let it continue, add bonuses, more marketing, more customers support, whatever

But I can't really think of anything that can last 12 months long lol.

Micro Continuity is just that... MICRO. It doesn't have to be 12 months long. The idea of using the micro continuity model vs a regular membership model is to get people past the normal 3-4 month period that they usually only stay on for. That could be 5 months, or it could be 12 or more.

The idea is not to have 12 months of content, but to break the KEY, say 7-10 or 12 ideas into micro chunks of information.

So instead of giving them 1-2 hours worth of video on one subject, you break it down into 4 smaller 15-30 minute videos to send them weekly.

It's just like chapters in a book. Take your main concept (Your book if you will) and break it down into chapters. Then take those chapters and break them up into subchapters (the main concepts behind each chapter) and use that as your weekly content.

Is it possible to ask members to contribute future materials?

For example, I start one such site with 1 month's worth of information. Then for future stuff, I ask the members to contribute.

My understanding of MicroContinuity has nothing to do with the size of the files or sessions. It was created as a counter to the never-ending continuity program where you sign up and there is no end date, you just have to opt OUT - many times you're automatically enrolled when you get free trials and such then you find charges to your account.

RB did some research and found that the avg. churn was 4 mo. in these automatic continuity program enrollments. So, given that the customer lifetime value was 4 mo, he decided to build a series and sell it as an alternative to "always in your wallet" continuity. He states up front how long your membership charges will run, he pumps up the offer so you'll stay to the end by offering huge bonus info for not opting out.

The micro relates to the length of the continuity program, not the amount of content per session.
