Methods to get an adult website off the ground

Hi,

I have an adult entertainment services, not nude or porn, directory website. How can I get people to list their services and people to create an account to the website? So far I am using craigslist and back page to bring in workers. I want to have a decent about of people creating accounts and checking them out when they create this listings. So, do you have any ideas? I don't want to involve any porn methods and I am working to use fake dating profiles.

It seems this op probably means more mainstream services such as exotic dancers, escorts, massage therapists, etc... I don't think he/she is looking for the typical porn riff raff, but is trying to cater to a different demographic.

Please clarify if my thought process was off here OP. Good luck with your efforts to grow this business. There's certainly plenty of demand for something like this.

First of all you need to connect with other webmasters in your niche. IQ69 was the place to be a few years ago if you were in traffic trading - not so many cheaters on there and they always got called out early.
You are pretty late to the game, but here is what you need:

1) appealing website design/structure to attract users to come back
2) traffic from day one (real traffic of course) best if you have own pages to drive traffic from
3) traffic tracking what you got from your partner-sites (the pages listed in your directory should link back)
- prioritize to send traffic back - special spot for your top partnersites

If not, it should be written as:
"I have an adult entertainment services, not nude, porn or directory website."

Yes, it is a directory website. I am okay with listings featuring anything as long as it doesn't include sex or nude since I don't want to cross any laws.

Sorry for the bad typing, I must have typed that half asleep. But you're correct. I'd like to stay away from porn and things alike. I wouldn't mind things like lingerie and even consider adult toys. But anyway, thanks for the reassurance. I was sure I'd have someone tell me this may not be a good idea, otherwise weeks of development would have been a waste!
