Hey guys what's up!

I found a new niche I'm taking over, web2.0s and smaller keyword sites leading back to an authority site.

Anyways someone else apparently has the same idea and I'm in a constant battle keeping my sites on page one.

Any ways I could de-seo some of his sites?

People always say IM is a cutthroat business.

Don't do it.
That's really all there is to say.
He may or may not be on this forum.
If we all start de-seo'ing each other, this place would turn into a war zone in no time.
Everyone should do their best for their own site. The best SEOer wins.

So you're gonna waste your time messing with them instead of ranking yourself?

Seems reasonable.

Don't do it. You don't even know how.

Not worth your time dude, soon they would find out about it and everything will get messy.
Focus on your site, show them your the best in what you do :)

Great idea, find an easy low comp niche, blast your competitor and then instead of you both making money, you can both waste your time screwing each others site.

Well normally I wouldn't ask, but he is de-SEOing me. He has already emailed the email registered with my Whois and told me I am better off leaving the niche.

Well then I would tell him he is in a no win situation, leave my sites alone or lose your time and money. If you get it in proven writing that he is purposely harming your sites, then I would seek legal advice, as it is not legal.

buy a crapton of blog roll links on fiverr all with same kw

I have to agree with what everyone has said so far. Don't waste your time. But if you really want to I would do what the others have said and buys a bunch of bad links and point them at their site. Watch for the rankings to drop and buy a bunch more to really push it down.

Ok thanks. I'll consider it if my ranks drop any farther. I worked hard on this niche and Id hate to see my work go to waste.

If you are making money off the site and niche right now or you believe you will certainly do well, i have a couple of advice for you to stay put and wear an SEO bullet proof vest.

1. Get private blog network and some high PR links either by buying from a service provider or setting them up yourself.

2. Find good article to write about, the topic must be hot, maybe a new discovery, recent updates, just something people will love to read and bloggers syndicate. Post the article unspun to a few top content sites, you can also use paid ones like PRWeb and the likes. Top article directories, web 2.0 are also good.

3. Create a fan page for your site and engage your users.

4. Tweet your site to social networking sites, FB and the rest. Google love this and your blog content could be syndicated too.

By doing just this, you are building high pr network links and above all a natural link, what Google loves most.

Google take things like this into account and will hardly penalize your site if spamming links are run on them either from you or your opponent.

Great advice - john1444
OP - If you are absolutely sure that other dude is intentionally hurting your serp check out the fiverr, there a couple of gigs that will hurt his ranking badly. (search: negative seo or similar in fiverr)
Although, maybe you would like to know that on 16 Oct Google introduced "Disavow Links" for web-masters where you can see harmful links and remove it easily with google.
I have not tried it, I have not been in situation yet but since you suspect that is the case maybe you can try it and let us know if you managed to do any good for your serp's.

Thanks. Hopefully I can just out-seo him.
