Methods for ranking site with thousands of pages

What are currently the best methods for ranking a site with thousands of long tail keywords (at least 3-4 words) ?
1-2 years ago I just did tens of domains, auto-generated content daily and just blast it with xrumer. Sites would last in Google for 1 day and then get banned. BUT they did earn some good money. Now it seems that its not that easy ;). Also I dont have access to cheap (below $1) domains anymore (domains that Google likes) so I guess Im looking for different methods than churn&burn...

For thousands of pages you will need to purchase a domain that has a strong link profile. That's gonna cost a few hundred.

Then you will probably have to spam it with GSA or something.

You are much better off ranking a amazon affiliate site in a low comp niche.
 
What you can do is buy a domain with some authority then add pages to those domain. Because of DA, the pages should rank by themselves for long tail keywords. There are many new TLD's which cost < $3, .xyz cost $1 on Namecheap.
 
It would also help if you build the site in a silo structure, and just push the silos with links. The structure will, in turn, push the separate pages as the link juice flows down the structure.

I do what you want to do with serp shaker and local keywords, what i do is i build it into a silo structure and only promote the main categories, if you have a strong domain you will rank for the 3/4/5 word longtail by itself, especially if you keep pushing those main categories

Also when you buy a domain to do that, look for a TF 40+, i just did one ticketsite like that with a TF43 and i never ranked for and sold tickets easier... it will cost you a view bucks but if you're in the right niche you will get your investment back, and then some :)
 
There are also some plugins which can help in such huge page generation.
 
If you are running a very huge site, you can follow this:

Import the list of all keyword searches (that bought traffic to your site) and the landing page (of your website for that keyword) from your analytics. Now check search volume for those keywords. Pick all the keywords that have 100+ monthly search volume.
Now start optimizing you pages for those keywords.

This technique is helpful, because it will give you some good keywords which no keyword research tool can give. Also you website is already ranking somewhere for that keyword. You just need to push it up towards front page.
 
I use ahrefs to pull up a big list of keywords I'm ranking/indexed for, then try to build links to pages based on monthly search volume or user intent targeting
 
Hey after you rank you agc site how do you monetize it.I know adsense isnt a option because they will suspended you fast.
also you can get .xyz domain name on namecheap for $1.08 a year.
 
asap1 is right. The best thing for you to do is start ranking affiliate sites for the likes of Amazon in low comp niches.
 
A Panda is a bear that eats up all the easy to access leaves. Pandas eat tens of pounds in leaves each day.

Google's panda will eat all the "leaves" (your pages) that aren't high enough (in what Google calls "quality").
