Where is the option for "constantly refreshing the home page and getting clickbaited by '$300/day method' -posts which then turn out to be just another question" ?

It really doesn't... it is more like I feel uncomfortable/sad/bothered seeing people get ripped off or people not using their heads when spending their hard earned money. There are times I get ticked off though as it is just not cool ripping people off.

Unbeknown to most, many of the SL threads never even go live as I try to mediate them because often it is a communication issue or something along those lines and making that a public issue isn't fair to either party.
Damn, not really thought about it that way tbh as someone who's never been affected yet. I guess I've only read like 5 Shit lists yet too, don't find it that interesting. When people lose their money it's always a sad thing, especially when people don't have that much. I'll never forget getting ripped as 13 year old after saving for some time for a computer game cd key. Some m'fucker somewhere gained 35€ this day and I was completely sad for a few days because that money mattered for me and I was too ashamed to tell my parents. Was an expensive lesson for me that time, but it was valuable. Fuck that scammers.
On the other hand sometimes I just keep F5'ing even though I got a shitload to do, and I should more concentrate on my work.

BHW is addictive.
Story of my life. Every time I get on my pc for working "I just check BHW homepage one more time" and end up browsing random topics for at least half an hour.

How I imagine the shitlist moderators must feel a lot of the time:

Mundane activities are brains way of coping with fatigue. It's not possible to be creative all the time, to be outside of comfort zone all the time, under pressure. Only few selected exceptional individuals are capable of 95% efficiency. F5 is our rest button.

Fuck that scammers.

Scammers aren't some underground disguisting creatures. They are humans like you and me. They may scam because they nullified their morals(well actually that makes them disguisting). Or because somebody fucked them and they want to continue that chain.

Or they are broke and they see a nice opportunity to screw somebody over. I mean losing a 3 months BHW acc over a $500 may not seem like a bad deal after all.

Look at @hateandbreak for instance. This guy was great. He shared some good stuff, and I liked him. Where's him now? In the graveyard. Maybe you'll get tempted by some shit in the future and I'll see your name in red. Or maybe you'll see me, you never know.

They are no humans like me. I would never put my morals so down to scam someone others hard earned money. I don't respect sammers in any way and never will. And I already saw your name in red for some time :p

I enjoy the SL section.

I actually asked a mod if I should put up a thread about proper business ethics. He said there's no point.

So I scrapped that idea and came to hang out here in the Lounge.

Sometimes I think BST owners just get overwhelmed and they don't know how to handle all the business they're getting. So when they make a mistake, it creates a domino effect. Everyone winds up getting screwed.

Other times I think "This person is a moron."

i duno invisible - ive done 2 refunds in 7 years on bhw and that was for service abuse of group buys i tossed

Two refunds in 7 years is excellent. In that case, it wasn't your fault and you did the right thing.

I was referring to the recent SL where the guy with the social panel didn't give out refunds. He just got banned. He kept promising to give people their money back but wasn't responding to Skype requests or support tickets.

I think he got overwhelmed, but at the same time, I don't feel bad for him.

This is one fucking habit that is sometimes very annoying. :D From what I've noticed refreshing comes up pretty often on the days when there is biggest pile of work to be done somehow. :D

If they scammed a scammer that's even worse because the scammed scammer will scam again to scam his scammed money back.

That's like saying that tier 4 links to tier 3, then tier 3 links to tier 2 and tier 4. Then tier 2 links to tier 1 and tier 3.
