We as affiliate marketeers think "it gets attention", in reality it just causes irritation. I am also an affiliate marketeer, when I go to any website and there is any automatic popup, even worse if in a new window, it surely causes irritation. The best way to do affiliate marketing is by getting attention in systematic natural manner.
