i am been using this methord for creating fake /temp id, or where ever it is need

i call it dot method

suppose you have one email id - [email protected]
so if you use the following id you will still get the mail

[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

are the possible for this
you can also use
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]

they still land in you email address
it is a very old trick , i guess most of you would already knew it.

some time my one account get blocked, so i use the dot to create the another, and i dont have to check the different inbox for mail.
#gmail only -
do tell me if it works somewhere else too .

#2 + trick

add+sitename to the email address when you sign up on a website on the Internet.

Signing up on Reddit, you could use the email address [email protected]
and replies would arrive just fine at [email protected].

this work for outlook also

I thought this only works with Gmail? Does it work across all other email providers as well?
 
pretty sure its only gmail......I could be wrong tho so testing it out

It's funny, this method has been around for ages and ages. I was using it back in 2008 2009 and it was probably pretty old by then. This post has already helped a few people though so it goes to show, sometimes resurrecting an old method can be a good thing.

Yes, it was posted so many times already, but there are always people, who don't know about it. :)

Years ago simple applications have been made just to put the dots in the custom part of the email address:

It's easier just to use a catchall email address. Register a cheap domain for 0.88 at namecheap and create a catchall email address through your hosting cPanel.
 
I already knew this method but this is pure treasure, I in this 4 years saw 2 times of this method posted and even asked others what the mechanism of this thing, and no clearly answers. OP remind me again but still, thanks!

And for the method, I think I saw some even more Random combine but forgot about it lol. And its not only work with Gmail, someone mentioned another service.

Yes! A guru told me such method, but I forgot the details, if I remember right, he use cheap domain which can open unlimited sub domain email for example, you applied the apple.com, and then you own the [email protected], besides this, you can set unlimited domain address on this domain, like 1.admin@apple, or 2.admin@apple, etc

Or I just misunderstood his meaning, he may just mean the same as what you said here lol.

Why would that be easier?

This Gmail trick doesn't require any preliminary setup. You can use one dot; multiple dots; one plus sign; one dot and one plus sign; multiple dots and one plus sign, practically the possible combinations are endless.

Plus a custom domain will always leave a bigger footprint than Gmail which is used by millions, although these catchall Gmail addresses can be linked together almost just as easily.

@jb2302: if you put two dots besides each other, that won't work.
These will all work and you'll get the emails to [email protected]:
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
[email protected]
even this: [email protected]
