Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, ....so your not even ranking them or promising them any SEO results? Just a spot on a unknown site? If thats the case, Even though I would never do this, Im not against it at all. Making money is making money! :)

Its clever, but kinda mean lol. I might try it with selling them quality yelp reviews, google + reviews, or something instead. Perhaps just look for offices that have a 1 or 2 negative reviews they want removed, or just an overall negative review.

It should be rather obvious why this works. You guys are confusing yourselves.

You trying to rank the sites, is not necessary. If 1 of 50 dentists happen to know about SEO & starts to question visitors, ranking, linking campaigns, etc... Simply thank them and politely tell them the 5th spot has already been filled.

Yes, this can be done targeting any city regardless of where you live. Unless you're meeting clients in person, one of the the benefits of being in IM is that you can do business FROM anywhere TO anywhere, regardless of where you reside. :)
