[Method] Turn $20 Into $1,000 in 10 Days

Correct me if I am wrong but did I see this method before in here?

I remembered a member has posted this method with more details than you did.

How do you convince the dentist to sign up and how much is the conversion rate?

The dentist method was one of the first I read on BHW as I recall it was called 10,000 month online offline or something like that? I always figured it might work but how do you get the site to rank and sell so easily. You are buying brand new domains putting them on page one and selling them within one month? Seems unbelievable.

this definitely wont work in my country, bro. (I live in a small village in a remote area)

It doesn't matter where YOU live anyone in any location can do this. You simply target any area or part of the world you want and this will work though larger and heavier populated cities are much more profitable.

Read comment #9. I'm not having to rank the sites in order to sell ad spots.

Was this done in a very small market? We just did a very targeted mailing to dentists in a large market. Very customized and detailed package. 100 x $30 each to put together and mail off....not to mention the time. Out of that we got one to sign. So, the cost to acquire that one client was $3,000. They were all followed up with multiple times. Several weeks of calls, emails, and even meetings.

Dentists are VERY hard to land...because there are companies that market to them every single day, not to mention a large percentage of them work with web design and seo companies that ONLY work with "medical" practices. Many of them feel more comfortable working with those type of companies.

I have just found that the dental industry (along with others) are VERY hard to close...

That ONE SINGLE deal not only cost $3,000 to land, but also endless phone calls, emails, and face to face meetings.

The fact that 19 of them just handed over money just like that blows my mind....after I know how hard the "dental" market is. Even though you are selling a $200 service....I just can't see them forking over the credit card for a "listing" that doesn't give any value.

What am I missing here?!

good old trusted method can you post the review theme you talked about here

Yes I'll be updating the thread soon with the theme(s) that I used.

You can call whatever you want but my method(s) of closing deals are obviously much better and more effective than those practiced by you and your team. I can't tell that you have good marketing experience if you're closing 1 deal out of every 10,000 sent emails. Thanks for your input though. I've always had much higher conversions than others over the years and I've had many people ask how I close deals so well and I never devuldged :) Thanks for your input though.

Veyron

Appreciate your response.
Keep in mind- 10k emails sent are emails going out to small business owners (SBO's) who have not solicited or asked for anything- outbound marketing in essence.
These are Ice cold leads..,people who can USE our services, but have not requested or contacted us. So out of those, a fraction of a % will respond naturally. Sure..you could buy leads
from others who have already been prequalified and purchased similar services, but we opted to create our own leads.
Now out of the 10 responses from people who ASKED for more information (those moderately interested and essentially IN bound leads) we closed 10%.
Now like I said, I don't know what magic fairy dust you are sprinkling on your leads, and I would suggest this is the missing piece to the success of your 'Method'..and it appears
that you are not going to share it- which further fuels my doubt about the validity of this post.
1) Local.com I know their top salesperson and he does not close anywhere near this rate, on IN BOUND LEADS. Hotter by far than your leads..naturally. And with a recognized brand.
2) reachlocal.com Same thing- they do not close anywhere near this rate and are a leader in the SBO ppc/seo market, funded by public monies.
And countless others whom which I network with.
Like I said, I am no newb in this market, and have tested mailers and emailing to SBO's and these #'s just don't add up.
Do the math people: "I was able to create a whole site in about 2 hours and gathered a list of 50+ Dentists within 30 miles from me and had a total of 19 ($3,800)"
Assume all 50 dentists opened those emails. A) How many emails went to the decision maker? Not all of them, I assure you. Some will be the dentist, some will be a marketing manager
of the dentist operation etc. And to even get ACCESS to the right contact email is difficult (no, whois will rarely get you the proper decision maker contact)
But you had 19 sales out of 50 emails. Most emailers will tell you that their open rate is rarely above 20%. But assume you got 100% open rate..which is absurd BTW..
Then you closed 38% of those people that opened the emails. No phone calls. No follow ups. No in person meetings for legitimacy or validation of your offer and business.
Just signed up, just like that.
Seriously Veyron...gain some cred here on BHW and spill some legitimate details and #'s..because any marketer who knows the market as I do knows reality. These #'s are literally impossible to achieve.

I do this exact method.

The only difference with mine is that I'll make a few review sites targeting the city and then get the sites ranked.

I'll technically be steeling all the competitors traffic and then selling them ad spots ;)

I'll show them exactly how much traffic the websites are getting and all the keywords I'm ranked for.

I don't email though. I send them letters with all the info and my phone number. I also write up the letter and make sure they focus on how much traffic I'm getting to these websites and hint that it all could be theirs lol. The letters are more personal than a marketing pitch in order to get people to read longer and not instantly throw out the letters.

I sell my at $200 per month for an ad spot on a single site or $500 for an ad on all the sites. And I make sure to say "Premium Spot" and not just "Ad Spot" when I pitch it to them ;)

I also sell "Top 10 dentists" pages for another $100 a month lol :D I give these pages away for free as a "Bonus" to the people who are purchasing the premium spots. And the people who are purchasing ad spots off of me get the top 5 spots in a random rotation.

There's a lot you can do to make money off of this method since there's so many tweeks to earnings and so many niches in order to pitch to :D

The only downside to this is that sometimes it takes a few months to get all the ad spots filled.

Great post Veyron :)

Great post Veyron :)

How long on average is it taking you to rank the sites?

Veyron

Good post mate, I'm just wondering about the hosting fee's associated after your money is up. So lets say I did this. Just calculating hosting alone... $5.50 per month x 12 = $66 x 4 websites = $264 per year. You made $3,800 and in 14 years you will start to lose money off these websites unless you monetize them. Not to mention the domain registration fee per year. I'm thinking these Doctors are buying them because this seems like a life time purchase. So what happens when the money you made gets drained by these hosting and domain fee's?

It's hard to say. Depends on how big the city is and if there's a lot of competition.

Normally bigger cities like Chicago, New York, LA, etc. are more difficult to rank in so I target suburbs/towns that have a high population.

Thought of this "long time ago" for 2 niches but was unsuccessful. Basically whenever I phoned in and started to explain what I have to offer they weren't interested in advertising. At the point where I said "... but I guarantee you'll get customers" just made them more reluctant.

I'm sure it'd be worth targeting a city like NYC and just investing in SEO to rank the site. Businesess in cities like that are willung to spend much more on advertising and marketing.

As a offline marketer for about 12 years now, i can safely say that people will not make a dime with this method, this isn't 2008 anymore mate, where you could scam people in buying adspace on your website, that hose has been beaten to death by every wannabe local marketer, there has been at least 20 WSO with this "method".

Also you forgot to mention the legal ramification it can have when the dentists you sold the ads to are not seeing results, and starting to sue your ass for fraud, no matter if they can proof it is fraud or not, you will be paying a lot of legal fee's and settle in the end, costing you a shitload of money...

The best way to do this is: is to have a site ranked first before you sell ads pace on it, (give them a free test ride on your site, if you have the traffic they will be sucking almost every body part you want to get that traffic :p) if you have a dentist site with good traffic you can make a lot of money for a long long time instead of scamming people into buying ads that we all know are never going to give any ROI..

I understand this is a blackhat forum, but some business practice is just setting yourself up for failure and legal ass fucking, but that is just my opinion

No one is getting scammed and as I previously stated I made no guarantees on traffic or sales so I couldn't be held accountable for the result(s) they receive. They get exactly what I told them they're getting before they pay so there's no confusion as to what they're paying for.

It is scamming, you need a angle to sell these ad spots, so you will have to bullshit the prospect to sell your ads, or else you won't be selling shit as this is not 2008 any more, end even them it was a real hard time to sell ad spaces like that....

But he... don't belief me and go ahead... try selling these ads and don't deliver any ROI to your clients, see what happens to your company, i have a aff link for a good US and UK law firm... wanna have it LOL

I kind of agree with your post. But you can get around this by making the ad buyers agree to your TOS which state that you do not guarantee traffic or sales. Make sure they MUST agree to the TOS in order to purchase and you're fine.

It's not illegal to do this, but it's a little shady if you don't have traffic that will convert.

on a side note, you can even sell them their website to your reseller hosting account or one off site design for 499$

usually it will be much better profit than 200$ ad spots.

This is also an idea that I've been thinking about that could substantially increase the profit margin of this method. Good input and thought!
