Method To Get One-Way Backlinks

I don't fully understand the need for a secondary site to get one-way backlinks. However, I get the concept in general.

And when the next Google update comes and catches this black hat tactic, and your backlinks and site vanish in the blink of an eye and you're crying in your soup and sobbing why, why, why......why me, it's so unfair ...........boohoohoo? How could they?

Spend your time building proper backlinks, like on G+1,and Youtube , which you can do yourself and other organic ways and you will be happier long term...and your site will be better off..

Does this method still work? Because after all these updates in such a long time, I'm wonder if still works.
 
Wouldn't it be better to do this in the .htaccess file?
Can the same detection be done by using the .thaccess file?
There are so many posts prior to mine, and your original post, that I have not read through all yet... very long, and apologize if this is already discussed. However, please do reply, anyone who knows.

There's another method I wrote to detect google and I'm sure it can be altered for other engines as well, PM me if you want that code.. I don't want to post it out right.. but it does not rely on user-agent

If google does spoof it's user agent and notices the difference it's bad news for you.

I have determined that this is possible with .htaccess file method.
Could someone please post the .htaccess file entries to have the same effect for all the major search engines?
I would change it myself to have same effect on the search engine IP address networks.
