So I just came up with this simple method of article generation.
a) find youtube videos on your subject, reviews, etc.
b) use speech to text recognition software to generate article

This produces unique articles, though you may have to add punctuation later on.

The second option is to find videos that have closed captions on youtube, and extract those captions. It seems rather easy, and I may try making a browser plugin for that at some time.

I'm sure someone can put these ideas to good use, especailly the first one, as it's really easy to find/pirate some recognition software

Actually you can even do it for free =)

MS Word (which im sure you have) has speeach recognition. Just turn it on, place the mic near the speakers and play the video. I just tried that and the results are mixed. As long as people speaking have more or less generic voice (like not some screaming kid) it is ok.
I'd recommend some professional software for this though. Atm, i can't really recommend any, but maybe somone could try some out and share results.

That's a pretty good idea. You should get a bot running in ubot/imacros/winautomation that automates all of that!

Tried it before. You will receive a mumble jumble piece of text that will need a lot of editing.

The quality is worse than spun content to be honest.

MS Word or any other speech recognition needs training on accent. So if you are native American then videos from American users will somewhat return quality text. Also accent change between UK and AU also makes a lot of difference. So there... It is good method but requires a bit work on the accent side.

I seen this same thing on here about a month ago but haven't got to give it try...

Thanks for sharing it I going to give this a try and see what happens...

One method I have had some success with is regional periodicals. Say your niche is Fishing, there are a few magazines out there that are either state, or regional in nature. Buy a few 9-12 dollar subscriptions and get fresh content delivered to your door.

Remember that none of these small circulation publications publish on line. :)

Not trying to hijack the thread with the above post. Sorry.

More on topic though..... I wonder if Dragon Naturally Speaking could be helpful with this? Anyone tried it yet ?

The biggest problem is that Dragon needs you to "train" your voice. It's next to impossible to train it for youtube videos (where there are tons of different speakers).

I still think it is a great idea, but it might be a couple years away (when speech to text gets better) from being able to generate really good content.

Hmm, remember that there are applications that change your voice, like make it more manly/female/child - like
maybe you could train word with your voice modified with that app. then modify youtube video sound with that app too.

Hope a mod can end the discussion and close the thread.

great method man :)))) you think outside of box

Good blackhat method, which has been shared before.

Remember that if you do decide to use the content that most YouTube videos have a Standard licence, so it's copyrighted.

tried that a few times before, didn't really go well.. find a good writer, and get content to your site..
