Method to earn money with pop-up window [HELP]

Well surely you have seen this method or way of promoting CPA offers using platforms like Rite.ly.

Where you can create a type of popup and affiliate it to a post or page, (what I think) what it apparently does is copy the entire page whether it is a forum, post or video, and after a few seconds a popup will appear in the middle with a call to action.

I have a good method to get traffic in a short time and able to convert, but I have a nagging part of my mind telling me that if I promote certain sweepstakes offers with this method. People may come along who happen to place so much importance on winning a certain contest that they look for ways to give away the whereabouts of the person running the contest. Can someone with experience explain to me if this can happen?

Excuse me for my English but I want to know if the method is ethical enough to do it or if there is a possibility that it could be applied and just come someone with the desire to see how feasible is the contest that I am promoting, I made a movie that the person who can do that can sue the page which I do not own. Do you understand?
