Hi guys, I recently made a Journey thread for my Clickbank earnings, and a lot of people have been asking what my method/niche is. While I refuse to go into specific details, I can provide my general process for choosing a niche, and how I'd go about creating a site in that niche. I realize there are a lot of methods like this, but I feel everyone is a bit different, and what may work for one person won't work for another. Regardless, I hope you find this method well-written, easy to understand, and at the very least -- helpful.
What you'll need: A clickbank account (duh), a paypal account (optional), hosting (we'll talk about this), a domain (we'll talk about this too), a niche (and we'll talk about this as well).
Step 1: Choosing a Niche
This is the dreaded Step 1 of any clickbank earning process, and it's not only the most difficult, but it's usually the most important. Choosing a high profit, low competition niche is crucial to making big time earnings. I've failed so many times by choosing a niche that is just too saturated, as well as ones that had no paying audience.
If you have absolutely no idea what to do here, try going to http://jvlaunchcalendar.com/ and find a product that looks profitable and has at least a month to go before it's release. Honestly, it's best if you can find a product that was just recently placed on the calendar, that ensures there won't be anyone else working on it yet (or at least be ranking sites for it).
Personally I don't use that site, as it doesn't really give me as much planning time as I'd like. What I'd do is try to find current CB products, and try to plan for the next thing in that niche.
For example: There are a lot of apple product lessons on CB, such as iPhone 5 Lessons, iPad Mini Lessons, etc. What you can do with this, is start planning for the next version, even before it's been announced -- because we know it's coming. Make a website for the iPhone 6, or better yet the iPhone 7, since the 6 is already a hot topic. Start researching good KWs for the iPhone 5, and just change them for the 7 (i.e. iPhone 7 New Features, iPhone 7 Specs, etc). I've never worked in this niche so I can't guarantee that this will work, but it's just an idea, and way to get your brain rolling.
Step 2: Buy the Hosting and Domain
If you already have hosting, you just need the domain. You can get hosting from HostGator for $0.01, just go on google and search "Hostgator coupon" and find the one that's for $9.95 off. I am in no way affiliate with HostGator, and I don't have an affiliate link, I just personally use them. After your first month, you'll be charged the rate of whatever plan you chose. I recommend the middle plan (Baby), as you can host unlimited domains and it's only $7 a month or something.
You can also do the same thing with your domain for the entire year, I use GoDaddy, and just look up GoDaddy coupons on Google. Sometimes I still have to pay about $7 based on what coupons are available, but I've been able to get them for $1 before. I've also used Register.com and gotten domains for $0.50 during a sale, but they spam my e-mail so I do not recommend them.
After you have these, just grab the nameservers from your hostgator account and plug them into your godaddy domain. Create an addon domain to your hosting and install wordpress with cPanel!
Step 3: Building Your Site
Ok, now comes the fun part (or not so fun, for some people). The first thing I usually do is start researching my niche, finding good KWs, finding other sites that will be useful, and saving all of this into a spreadsheet that I can quickly access. Next, pick a nice basic theme for your blog, maker sure everything is easy to read and all of the menus can be easily accessed.
Start making a few articles for very popular KWs first, you can either outsource this if you have a PayPal account and some starting cash, otherwise you'll have to do it yourself. I can't stress how important it is that you get well-written articles, even if you're simply writing filler content for now, it still has to flow and be read-able. If you can't write well yourself, try to do some freelance with something you are good at (use Fiverr or an IM forum's marketplace), earn $100 or so, and then buy some good content from a reputable writer.
Make a couple of posts a day until you have a nice amount of content, then you can start posting once or twice a week until the product is released and then you can start promoting.
Step 4: Off-Site Processes
You'll also want to start linking to your articles on various niche-related sites. This can be hard, as a lot of the popular ones will just ban you right away. Depending on your niche, you can try Reddit -- this gets you good visitors but I think your site will eventually get blacklisted if you post too much. Posting on web 2.0 sites helps as well, but requires a bit more writing, although these don't need to be as high quality of articles as the ones on your site.
If you can find an established website that allows you to submit articles, and is closely related to your niche, this is going to be your best friend when trying to get your site ranked.
Step 5: Promoting the Product
Next, you want to write a review of the product you are promoting, and the more detailed the better. If you can get your hands on a copy of the product, either by contacting the vendor and requesting a review copy, buying it, or through some other means... That's great. Get some pictures of the members area (don't show anything confidential), and even create a video if you can. Again, if you're not a good writer, hire someone to write this review for you, and consider spending a bit on it -- this is very important.
Once your review is up, start linking to it on all of your pages. You can either put up an advertisement that will appear on every article, or manually go in and put links in appropriate areas of the text. For example: you're promoting iPhone 7 guides, go into an article like iPhone 7 tips and tricks, and write "Looking for something a little more detailed? Check out xxxxx iPhone lessons." Just a sample, you can probably come up with something better.
At this point, you should have at least 30 different articles bringing at least a handful of visitors per day -- if you can get a few bringing in hundreds, you're in good shape. With 20 articles bringing in 25 visitors a day each, that's 500 visitors there, and usually your popular KWs will bring in a lot more. If you got 10 KWs bringing in 200 visitors on average, you've got 2.5k/day there, and these numbers are totally reach-able. Even if you convert 0.5% of visitors into sales (also very reach-able with targeted traffic like this), that's 12 sales per day, if you're product gets you $15 per sale -- you're already bringing in $180/day!
Thanks for reading this guys, and be sure to check out my Journey thread for to see how this method is working for me.
