This is pretty straight forward so i'm going to keep it short.

XMR or monero is a completely anonymous cryptocurrency thats pretty popular if you didn't know.

This method lets you utilize users cpu to mine xmr when they visit your wordpress webpage.
Code:
www.coinhive.com

This is made easy by coinhive (link above) which many people are using due it being simple and easy to use. This site make it so people can stealth mine on websites, apps, games, etc.

So here are the steps to do this on wordpress.

step 1 - sign up to coinhive

step 2- Download wordpress plugin
Code:
https://www.wp-monero-miner.com/

step 3 - login to the wordpress site you want and install the plugin.

step 4 - go to coinhive click setting and copy those api codes and paste into plugin.

step 5- on plugin click website tab and enable stealth and auto-start options,

step 6- Done!

Now time for the cons. First off coinhive takes 30% percent of your mining profits for using their platform. Second is the plugin, the plugin consist of basic and pro versions. If you use basic they only take 10% but you lose features. the pro version takes 15% percent. So all together that's a 40 to 45% chunk out of your mining profits.

As for the pros paying for someone to write the code or doing this yourself can be quite the daunting task. Other options is using other sites like cryptoloop which takes 10 percent but its less user friendly. So as far as it goes for ease of use coinhive is the go to. Also there are some paid plugins floating around but most of them make you pay and still hide code that takes a percentage of you profits so be careful.

On side note: The javascript provided by coinhive can be used in a variety of other ways so think outside the box. Also to those who say the earning potential is low need to think about the fact the prices of XMR is still pretty low and is being widely adopted. In a year or two its a good chance the prices will skyrocket.

Are you using this method yourself? I saw few proxy sites asking permission for such thing, I mean browser based mine or something.

Good Share. The best use would be on the video content sites, movies, tv shows... users usually spend a lot of time on such sites.
Question: Can this negatively affect Google ranking? I think most AVs blocks mining scripts. Maybe Google detects it too?

yeah but need to realize that you need massive traffic in order to see decent amounts.

browser base mining was 2017 thing, I saw many hosting companies banned sites/users for such trick in 2017, Now in 2019 this method is working? You have used?

I don't use this method anymore but I do still have code embedded in old sites. Doing this is better with apps but you gotta know how to code.

I really don't know yet, but plenty of big name sites got caught doing it. For example there's an article on thepiratebay testing it to replace ad revenue.

If anyone is worried about coming across a site like this, you can use "No Coin" on Chrome to prevent this.

Most methods posted will not give you great results without you putting your own twist to it. Stealth mining is profitable if you know what your doing. So yea doing this exact method is pretty old but theirs pretty of new ways that aren't.

Now I am not 100% certain if this was the cause, but a website I once visited frequently began slowing down my PC. A few weeks later there was a post on that website that they have started using mining software to help with server costs. Today the website comes up as "account suspended."

As I said above, the 3 events could all have been unrelated to one another, but do make sure that your host is fine with you doing this, and your users are aware of this plugin running on your site as it uses their CPU.

If you have a good relation with your viewer, you can put the coinhive plugin directly and ask him to mine while he is on your site...

It's more Ethical...

Mining is good for phone apps...

Personally, I won't use this method.
Virusscanner can detect this mining -scripts as virus which will scared viewers coming back to your site. It is hard to get viewers back to your site that they think it is not safe anymore.
Also Adsense do not allow mining-scripts if you use adsense.

You can be ethical and not turn on those options. Instead users can opt in, also there's captcha option when users can mine to solve captcha.

I feel like this would work if you had some kind of "all allowed" hosting. Then you could make a movie/tv show site and while people are watching the content, you are going to mine XMR.

i used conhive ago 1 year ... is not worth even if you have a good traffic amount and now lets talk about why?

1. For 35 H/s you will get 0.01$ (1 cent ) and you have to mine 24 hours (1 day)
2. Coinhive is an javascript mining so if you use it on your website, your website will be slowly ( That could affect your seo )
3. Many google extension detect coinhive such as adblock nocoin and others
4. Remember that coinhive will use only user CPU and the maximum h/s can be 100 for i7, at the currency price that will be 0.03 $ (3 cents) for 24 hours ....

Coinhive is very useless now .... just do some math about how much traffic you need to generate some good income and remember that you cant use 100% CPU from users ...

If you have a movie website or something like that you can give a try ... but is still useless

XMR Mining Pirate's Way. OK, maybe if you have that kind of traffic and users don't mind...

Seems not a stable and profitable method nowadays. Still thanks OP's sharing.

Thanks for sharing but I've not heard of anyone being profitable with this method. All I've read says it's waste of time.

I think its unethical that its with no consent, not to mention it might affect user experience. But video streaming sites might make the most out of this.

Once coinbase gets monero in my opinion that will be the day the price will hike. It's the best coin in my opinion in terms of use and it's completely untraceable. It's cool. I don't have anything to hide but the freedom of privacy is what i love.
