[Method] Selling games on Steam

This seems like a valid idea.
However, this method definitely takes a lot of time.

If i try it out, will post results here.

Like it should work, also if you know your stuff you could make a HTML5 game into a executable file and do it that way

Well, this is the method with the js thing right. This could be huge to do that, just remaster old sucess

this topic motivated me to learn more about coding, I think it should be interesting to learn

Great method OP but my question is have any of your games failed to
sell/make money?

Yes, a few has failed to recoup the investment fully that i put in, but the earnings from the successful have been far greater. Also would be foolish to think that you couldn't fail, it is like any other method, nothing magical or anything about it.

Love the method definitely a great share, may take a rip at it sometime.

Curious though, if a Steam Employee seen that you were selling lets say for example "CS:GO" or "The Forest" wouldn't you get instantly banned or some sort of suspension or punishment added to your account?

And also have you encountered any problems with this method? And how long have you been doing this for?

Thanks in Advance

Ehh I said you needed to customize the games, not resell already existing huge games, also pretty sure you would be sued to the ground if you didn't customize.

I haven't had problems with steam directly, but have heard about people being banned from steam, cause they oberdid it and weren't smart. I have been doing it for around a year.

Hey can I use cracked version of GameMaker to publish game on Steam , or at least have you tried it, because it is more easier to make games using GM.

This is such a sick idea, good job for coming up with this. I might actually do this myself as I love designing stuff myself. I have programmed a ton of stuff in the past, and I'm sure I could create the entire game myself but I'd honestly rather pay than spend 4 months making a simple game...

On the flipside, this kind of makes me sad as well, cause someone like you can pump out 1-2 games / week as you said and these indie devs spend an entire YEAR developing a game for a $10k check...

None the less, best of luck in the future and sick method once again.

How much money did you invest in marketing to get the ball rolling and also how big was your initial audience. Did u start from zero and use ads to grow your app?

is it still working? if i remember right. there a few dev spamming steam with many cheap games, and got banned.
