[Method] Selling games on Steam

i made a few searches on google looking for pirated game script and found nothing. where do you get them?

This is a nice share. OP how much beneficial can it be to have knowledge of those games?
So sorry, I don't fully understand he question, could you eloberate some more.

how do you reskin a pc game? is there any details tutorial?
Easiest way is to either using Unity or a game maker, you can easily find alot of videos of how to use those tools on youtube.

have you ever sell pirate script that you mention. can you share your earning screen shot on this method.
Only used pirated script once, which was my first game and I was strapped for cash, and the game is still up, so no problems, actually more often use pirated graphics. Sorry, the payment stats is way to easy to track.

Well you have to look in the right places, you can't just search straight for pirated game script, more search for game engines, they often incude examples that you can reskin, also search unity assets or anything, also they dont have to be fully pirated, Github has a couple of great ones. It is all about where you look and how you look.

op suggest to look developer steam and to top top secret place or on github you need 1.5k usd to a/b test this. buy script pay 100 usd for game submission its not like every game you submit will get sales. i think op spend amount of money and time to make it work we cant blame him not sharing the top top secret but stil good share.

Thanks, for understanding, I just essentially gave a framework of an method, that I know work, but people have to understand that I am not gonna spoon feeding everything, like if you have questions I am gonna answer them by the best of my abilities, but I am not gonna reveal all my secrets, also don't want people to follow what I do excactly, put your own spin on it, be unique.

Interesting in your information. I'm not really familiar with steam, but does it has any plan on adding mobile games ?

No it doesn't as far as I know. It is only for computer games.

This is actually pretty interesting thanks for the share.

So it seems alot of you guys and gals have trouble finding source code, so I am gonna share away a method to do it, it will remove the steep learning curve and make the programming part alot easier, so the $150 investment will be the only herd to cross, and make this alot more accessible.

Well essentially you can buy HTML5 games from Codecanyon or similar places, and if you want you can pirate them too, customize it which should be easy, then we are gonna use nw.js which you can found on here https://github.com/nwjs/nw.js to convert it to something that can be executable on a PC. Congrats you just made a game.

When we reskin the game, do we still need to buy multiple license? Or is the regular license enough?

I have been looking into this method and it turns out to be very old.

It is not as easy as OP makes out as Steam cracks down on asset flip games deleting them as fake games.

It doesn't mean you can't still make money from it but I would advise caution.

Not knocking you mate, it is something I had vaguely looked at before and the method is interesting enough that I think it might be the first proper venture that my Son and I might work on together.
So thanks for sharing @runners123

Oh yeah, forgot to thanks you about this. Those are really valuables informations.

In your first post, you mentionned Steam Trading Cards, isn't only for several game which use this system?

So when people write from their mobiles, then english is not good
Hm.. interesting fact !

Aahh thanks, and good luck, and now that I think about it I might make it sound a bit easier than it is, cause I have done it alot. Also just be smart about it, and if you can hit something trendy and if you are really lucky a popular youtuber migth play it and then you pretty much hit the jackpot to be honest :) But good luck hope the venture is successful :)

Yeah they have a couple of requirements, but if you get in, you basically have a money making machine, it ain't easy but certainly possible.

Well thanks for your not so valuable contribution to the thread, seriously why? what purpose does it have?

What do you think about finding open source game and reskin it? Let's say you change texture, name, some things in the actual game, is it possible? ( without getting fcked by steam of course)

I'm asking for that, since most game on codecanyon are just game for phone, i think we might adapt them for computer but, idk... might be hard to sell

Like it should work, also if you know your stuff you could make a HTML5 game into a executable file and do it that way
