[METHOD] Passion Niche Dropshipping

I see how much are you selling for? and why?

Well first of all because I am well involved in other projects both private and with a few people so I really do not have much time to devote for this specific website. I am also not even passionate about the topic so why not sell. I am passionate about the money though :P

nice method. few questions -

1. Did you actually test the product yourself - quality ,shipping time, etc or began dropshipping right away.
2. What was your budget?
3. How many suppliers from Aliexpress did you purchase from?
4. How do you deal with returns.

Thanks.

1. Yes, I first ordered the product to see the quality for myself. This is not necessary though, you can see by the reviews.

2. I started basically broke. Put in some money into the domain, paid advertising and so but you can make it without much capital if you know how to make a website and such.

3. Two, since I sold around 5-6 animal pendants and bracelets.

4. Well my product cost was 0.90 and I was charging it $6. I had only 2 refunds in around 100+ orders so don't worry about that much. Find a product with ePacket shipping which takes 10-15 days to the US and state in your refund policy that it might take 3-4 weeks to arrive and you are safe with refunds. Anyone that tries to refund due to product not arriving, just point them to the policy.

Good luck!

what's your refund policy? kindly explain.
Go to shopify.com and generate their refund policy. Change website names and such and enjoy. You can also find a refund policy template on google. Add a line on the end that your shipments may take 2-4 weeks and customers should be patient according to the guidelines.

UPDATE:

A very useful addition to the method could be Facebook Group posting with Massplanner. I have just done a bit of research around this exact passion niche and posting it within groups where activists gather around. I am telling you this in order to AVOID paid marketing such as Facebook and Instagram Ads which have become utterly expensive in the past few months (my experience), especially if you target United States...

thanks for the reply. what i want to ask is that if a customer actually wants to return a product, what address will you give to them to which they willl send the product back?

If you feel comfortable to do so, you can tell them to return it to your address. What I did is got some help from an acquaintance from the United States to whom the customers could return the products - just to be safe. I only had a few refunds, no returns. I've seen a lot of people who just tell them their own address or a random address, because the product is not that expensive and they don't lose much. Just ship out a new one to the customer, kinda get rid of the old one.

Why spoonfeed always? You just killing methods and create more competition.

He stated that he's looking to move on. And anyways, there are thousands of types of opportunities like this where you can try to target activists.. Remember, 99% of the readers of this post wont even take any action. And even that 1% which does, will probably not succeed for one reason or another.

I'm looking to launch a unique product for $10 (plus $3 domestic shipping) in an eastern European country, and I'm looking to advertise through facebook groups, and already have a FB acc with 2k targeted friends, will be at 5k soon. Apart from sharing in groups and on that FB acc, what else do you recommend to gain a lot of exposure on FB? I'm also looking to post articles similar to the niche I'm in for SEO and include advertising to my product and email list sign-up.

Also, do you think I could make a profitable (or even break even) ad campaign on FB with a good ad? I'm asking because I'll only have about 6-7 dollars profit on a purchase.

BTW: thanks so much for this post.

I guess you are right, there are many more things that comes up when dropshipping for example payment processors that will ask for a vat or business registration numbers, official documents.

Thanks for the method. Do you think Christianity niche would work with this?

thanks very insightful reply.

one more question if you don't mind - which payment processor is best and which one did you use? Are they comfortable with dropshipping model?

I would avoid anything except Stripe to be honest. I just found out that my local bank has a payment processor within their services but I need to have a registered company (luckily I am in the process of registering it for other reasons) so I might come back to dropshipping if the bank's payment processor proves to be stable and worthy. If you don't have Stripe as an option do some research, if you have $500 to invest, apply for Stripe Atlas program in which Stripe registers you a company in Silicon Valley and opens an US Bank Account for you. Please DO NOT settle for 2Checkout which is basically the worst service ever - they're proven to be racist when approving applications from people from third party countries.

I think it would, you just need to be smart whilst targeting your audience. Same goes for the donation part, donating to a church with good following on Facebook would be a smart move.
