I am having an iffy day with my earnings, so I thought I would make this Youtube thread to help you guys out with what I know. I hope you learn something. I put this in MakeMoney, but if mods think it should be elsewhere, well, they don't really need my permission. Sorry for any trouble caused.
So here is what we are going to go over:
Let's get started then:
Just a quick note that I won't be going into detail WHY these methods work. I can say they work because I have tested them over and over again, and they WORK.
How to optimize your Youtube titles for more clicks.
Include these words INFRONT of your Title:
Then you want to put one of these around the word from above:
★ ☆ ✰
Like So:
★ ★ ★UNBELIEVABLE ★ ★ ★ Frog Zombies Destroy Chicago
There are tons of other symbols, I've tried almost all of them and stars convert best.
Then You have to be SURE you are never, ever, ever, never selling in your Title.
If you give so much of a hint that it's going to cost them money, people on YT will almost Never click your video.
Key principle: People on Youtube Want stuff for FREE. Be smart with this and you will make a ton of cash.
Then, be provocative and give your title some spicy controversial words. You want people going "What the fuck?!!??!?" before they click your video. That way you will have their full attention. I've found that videos with provocative titles end up bringing me more money.
That's about it when it comes to titles. These methods are kind of saturated, some of you will say. True and irrelevant. YT gets a ton of new visitors every day and not all of them are internet savvy.
They still work, and especially if your niche is small.
How to optimize your descriptions for more clicks.
You don't want to write a whole paragraph in your description. Noone will read it, because YT is all about speed and being dynamic.
Unless you can write your descriptions in that "pace" of thought, they won't get clicks.
Just following the above principle is enough to get you going, but you really want to adapt according to your niche.
If you are selling relationship guides, be emotional, if you're selling get ripped abs products - be aggressive etc.
You're smart, so you'll figure it out.
How to optimize your video content for more clicks.
You want to deliver in your video. You don't want to let them have a bad impression of your video, because that means they won't click on your links. Tested and proven.
So if you are downloading and reuploading other people's videos, at least make sure they are high quality. Lots of views doesn't mean quality, as most of you will know.
If you are making your own video, read below.
The Dos and Don'ts of making your own video
Make sure your video fills the basic criteria below or you are almost sure to not get any clicks.
Speak C-L-E-A-R-L-Y and A-R-T-I-C-U-L-A-T-E. I know that may be hard to do if you are in front of the PC the whole day, but try and do a quality job. Rehearse if you have to. The video will pay for your time later on.
Make sure your video is HD. The higher the quality, the higher the chance your visitors will associate the website in the description with HQ content. That's what you want.
Be provocative, but don't be rude or scammy. Also don't be annoying or make promises that you don't keep. YT viewers get annoyed easy and the next video is just a click away.
I watched a video the other day which was titled Product name Scam. The guy on the video said something like this:
Hey guys, I am here to tell you about Product name and EXACTLY why it is a scam and I think you should NOT BUY IT! But first here is what Product name is *promotes and sells for 5 minutes*. Never mentioned the word scam again.
I wanted to punch him the face and I imagine all 17 other viewers he got wanted to do the same. Don't be like that.
Expectation management
You want to manage your viewers expectations and not lie to them for these reasons:
If you promise them free cake on the other side of the link and there isn't any, they will be annoyed. That is a problem if you are selling via CB, but if you are using CPA that shouldn't be that big of an issue.
Basically promising something that you don't deliver on will get you traffic. Once. If you can make cash with that - go ahead. Most people can't so I suggest they keep it real.
When To abandon ship and risk management.
If you plan not to deliver on the other side, then shut down the comments (Edit Info - >Settings ) and ratings (Edit Info - >Settings ). No comments is suspicious but not as much as 300 flames and 900 thumbs down.
You want to upload your videos to at least two accounts, and watermark them in both cases.
You want to delete a video completely after a month if it has <50 views. If your account has videos with a few views, that cuts down your credibility. Not worth the risk
Upload a lot. Upload 20 videos a day for a week per account. Do you know why? Because people subscribe to other people who have >100 videos almost automatically.
Well, that's all the tricks I have up my sleeve. I hope you've learned something new, if you haven't I think my efforts are worth, if not thanks and rep, at least a lack of insults.
You can find a ton of YT monetization methods over here. Most of them don't really work by themselves, so you have to be creative and think of a twist that works.
Good luck!
