This is a strategy I am using with my websites at the moment. Results are impressive when used with domains over 6 months old based on medium/high competition keywords.

I would like your feedback on the strategy and any improvements you can recommend. My focus is on good quality content and high PR links, for the first phase at least. The first phase is manual, white hat. Second phase is semi-automated. Third phase is automated.

Phase 1:
  1. Web 2.0 ( Ultra spun, 95%+ unique article posted on 12 High PR Web 2.0 Target URL).
  2. Article Directories ( Ultra spun, 95% unique article posted on 5 High PR Article Directories pointing to random Web 2.0 and target URL ).
  3. Wiki Sites ( Ultra spun, 95% unique article posted on 10 High PR Wiki sites including .edu, pointing to target URL).
  4. Doc Share Sites ( PDF & PPT created from original article and submitted to doc share sites linking to the target URL).
  5. Video Sharing Sites ( Slideshow video of article created and submitted to 10 High PR video sharing sites with links pointing to Homepage URL and Target URL).
  6. Micro Blogs ( Twitter etc, posts written with links to target URL).
  7. Social Bookmarking of target URL.
  8. (All RSS, Ping and Indexed with Linklicious Pro)

Phase 2:
  1. Status Update Sites ( pointing to random phase 1 properties).
  2. Bookmarks (PLIGG and Popular social bookmarks with links to random phase 1 properties).
  3. Wiki Sites (Pointing to random phase 1 properties).
  4. Article Directories (pointing to phase 1 Web 2.0, Wiki and Video sites).
  5. Blogs (Wordpress, ELGG etc pointing to random phase 1 Web 2.0, Wiki and Video Sites)
  6. Scrapebox blast to phase 1 doc share sites and video sharing sites).

Phase 3:
  1. Scrapebox blast to all tier 2 (excluding the phase 2 scrapebox blast).

Considerations:
I make sure to alter the target link structure, for example {http://www.yoursite.com|www.yoursite.com|yoursite.com|Short goo.gl *****

I alter the anchor text, for example:
{Primary keyword|secondary keyword|Click here for "keyword"|Find "keyword" here|Best "keyword" in 'City'}

For phase 1 articles I take 3 original articles and ultra spin (paragraph, sentence and word level) manually.

For phase 2 articles I use manually spun content that passes copyscape.

Scrapebox blasts are done using AA blogs including Edu & Gov sites.

I space this all out over 28days.

Let me know what you think of this and please share any link building strategy suggestions you have.

I don't think this would be enough to rank medium to high competition sites, my personal opinion but there you go.

Me either. You need high pr backlinks profiles AND actual pagerank links to rank in really competitive niches. Also, it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to rank in a high competition niche without a yahoo directory backlink. Costs $300 a year for one.

What? Impossible to rank without yahoo link? Why google would look at that link at first place? It's just a link like every other and can be replaced, at least at my opinion.

It's probably one of his linking strategies and if it works for him that's fine. But there are indeed better ways to spend those $$.

yahoo directory backlink does give alot of backlink juice to your site, but its not required for competitive niches, it just helps.

As for high competitive keyword, it isn't enough for Tier 1.
I also build hundreds of web2.0 for my money site.
Tier 2
Use xrumer and AMR,BMD to Tier 2, thousands of links
Tier 3
use SB and BMD to Tier 3, thousands of links

Good strategy. Very similar to what I'm doing, except I get it all done in a day or two for each site, and repeat it once a week.

Good strategy but I would go for higher volume of all the backlinks + include similar backlinks pointing to created tier 1 sites. Doing all this 1x per month might not be enough depends on the competition
