    Sup' guys,

Here is a simple and easy method to make people deactivate Adblock I'm recently implementing it on my websites and it works pretty good actually. Let's start

First of all check where your ads are displayed on your site and get the EXACT POSITION.

After this fire up your photoshop and do some kind of an image like this : liquidtop.png ( here a link for a bigger image : http://www.teamliquid.net/staff/Hot_Bid/liquidtop.png )

Next put it in your website and the place your ad is displayed. Put the ad on top of it with an iframe or something else.

Now when people with adblock will come to your site they will see this image and if they don't want to hurt the elephant, puppy, kitten, etc.. they will disable adblock on your site.

Doesn't work on everyone but on membership website it is working pretty well, a friend put a small text under it just as on the website we had the idea from saying : If you don't want ads switch to premium membership ( Or whatever you want ). That way you still keep your ad, have a call to action to disable adblock and a call to action to the premium membership.

Hope it will be useful and clear, I will come back to edit the thread on how to do it properly and a make it more detailed I have to go to work right now.
    Have fun kids!

EDIT : Download THIS Javascript code and put it in your website, it works seems to work like a charm and do everything for you. Just read the instructions and you are good to go.

    EDIT :
It can work also with this script too : http://erikswan.net/abp/ => Thanks to Candiceswan for the link!

Thanks! I will try to do a more precise and step by step version for "noobs" haha. Also if I find a way to do some kind of case study with the number of people with adblock who deactivated after I put this dirty trick on I will do. I have yet to find a way but if any of you guys can do such things don't hesitate to PM and I will put it in the thread with a nice little "Thanks to xxxxx for the help with the data".

If you use it remon24 and notice some change in your conversions ratio it would be nice to post it here. To compare the before and after the trick, to see how well it worked. Currently I have a little 2.3% more clicks since doing it on my buddy website and a 4% approximately people switching to his premium membership. Not a huge amount I know but it's a little more money flowing back in your bank account. We did it with a grandma image since his niche is about recipe and stuff, just have to find the right image for your niche and a good sense of humor.

I have a lot of things to do with my job and university work. But I will try

Indeed they are, the method is a little more elaborated than mine because I used an Iframe to do the job but Javascript is probably better. You can right click on the "Save the kitten" and inspect the element when you check it you can see they are using a div which enclosed the all thing with javascript. I will try to find it and post it here.

Edit : And there you go. I have found the script and you just have to follow the instruction on this website and it should do the trick. It is way better than iframing. Go HERE for the script read how to implement it and let the money jump into your pocket :)

My website doesn't let you in with AdBlock enabled :p
Then when you disable it you have to click and ad before you can enter.

I visit tl every day. I'm shocked they still use adsense. For gaming niche, it'd be smarter to get more targeted ads. Meh.

Indeed that is also a good way to do it but you may lose a few visitors but the ones who remains clicks so....There is a good side and bad side in both methods :D.

I do too, but they are well established, got sponsors, shop, membership, etc... I guess they don't really need it but it gave them a little more bucks. I not sure it is adsense though or if they do they must have some Steelseries or other shit like that targeted ads. Most of the audience spend their time on gaming /esports stuff and I think Big G knows what they wants.

All my users come to my site specifically to enter, nobody else knows about it - so it works well :) Currently getting about $100 a day from the single entry ad :)

Put it that way, your method is more adapted than mine for your site.

And TheOffline TL has been around for years thos guys are pro's in that field now. I've been in a few multigaming as a player ( not pro ) because it had advantages ( free servers for CS ftw ) but TL have big sponsors, coverage of events and the Pro's etc.. I think they are a company or an association now, same as SK, Fnatic, EG or any big org out here you can think of.

I figured out the guy game-debate.com using the javascript from this http://erikswan.net/abp/
He replaced the #tester and the message to kitten pics.

Have you tried the script from the link you sent me to? Any sample? :D
