This is a little method that made me a good chunk of change, so I figured it would help some poor souls looking for something easy to make money with. It DOES take thinking and some creativity, warning for those who want a 'spoon fed' method. The 'method' itself is simple. You are going to get a controversial topic you can make money from, and use careful Press Releases to get traffic and make money. Step One: Pick a Topic The premise of this is simple, you need a subject you can profit off of, and is controversial enough to get clicks. You also need to be able to spin the topic into a format that will get picked up by Press Release sites. It sounds way more complicated that it is. I used a Kindle Book about 'Dating' when I did this the first time. It can also work with Weight Loss + Click Bank, Celebrity Gossip + CPA, or Political news + CPA. In the US it is currently 'Donald Trump Season' with Politics and you can snip some unsuspecting people to click on your site and use content locking. The topic NEEDS to be something controversial. This is how you get people to ACTUALLY click on the Press Release to check out your offer. Think of those click bait topics on sites like Cracked.com. "Bodybuilders HATE Him.... Gain 25 Pounds of PURE Muscle Overnight." "The secret to WEIGHT LOSS the FDA has hidden for DECADES." "You would not believe what one woman caught Barack Obama with..." You want click bait topics. The second thing to keep in mind as it needs to be 'flashy' to get attention, it must be news worthy. If you have a Press Release 'guy' run the topic by him or her first to see if they can spin it to make Google News and spread to other news outlets. The reality is you only need it to be picked up on one high profile news outlet. The topic must be good enough to get people to click and not too outlandish to not get picked up. This works best on either: A. Landing Pages B. Unique Domains with Content Locking C. Parasite on a recognizable Domain. This method simply does not convert as well on a shitty blogger / wordpress. Some people will check the link before clicking on it. This does depend on the niche, but do not skimp on this as a test. This does cost money and creativity to make this work. Step Two: Press Release This is the most important part. You need a Press Release which can spin your topic into going Viral. It must be well written, catchy, and 'idiot friendly'. I use that term with a grain of salt. Some demographics tend to work better for this. Middle aged white women tend to click on these the most when I did them. For the niche I started with, 'Dating for Men' I had to make some twists to this. In general, some demographics specifically click on the Press Releases. Keep that in mind. You have two ways of doing this. You can cloak a link for a product within the Press Release (Not that successful). Or, have a link to a real site in the Press Release. In my original case, I had a Kindle Book / a Domain with a landing page to my Kindle Book. The landing page was picked up more often, but again, you only need one 'Main Stream' site to pick you up. The Press Release needs to be designed to make the reader want more. The Press Release is the first step in the sales funnel so keep this in mind. This is not the quality of work most sellers can perform. I suggest hiring a writer to write this for you and submitting it yourself or on a site like Fiverr for distribution. Again, I can't stress this enough, the Press Release NEEDS to convert people. Step Three: Social Media Promotion This is where this gets good, and makes you money. Your Press Release about a controversial subject or topic. This is fine and dandy. The Press Release needs to make it to a website with a domain people trust. This entirely depends on your topic. For Political news, especially 'Donald Trump' or 'Barack Obama' Gossip, a site like Fox News is KING. This may require some split testing to get your offer to be picked up. A Google news story does not mean squat to some demographics. You want a PR that can be GUARANTEED to the site your demographic will trust. I CANT STRESS THAT FACT ENOUGH. The Press Release is for Trust. Now, the social media promotion. You have your sales funnel in the Press Release which is picked up on a domain your target audience will trust. Now you need to get this tweeted / shares / pinned / ect to your target audience. Be creative here. This process works like this: You have someone 'share' your sales funnel like this, "I read this CRAZY story on Fox News about Donald Trump. You won't believe this!" Or, "I read on Fox News an amazing way to lose weight!" Depending on the niche depends how you want to share it. I found some things worked, others did not. What worked for me: - Facebook Groups - Twitter Re - Tweets - Pinterest Pins I have only tested this on a handful of offers / products. What did NOT work: - Facebook Ads - Facebook Pages - Snapchat (Did not work with my Dating Niche offer) - Instragram (Not a whole lot of testing) You need to share your Press Release on a platform your demographic will respond to. Your Social Promotion must also be catchy. Spend sometime either brainstorming or hire someone to craft the message to get clicks. You could hire a Sales Copy Writer to do this for you. Why do all this work? The ideology behind this simple, but I will state it again. You write about a controversial topic you can make money from. Content locking + a hot topic tends to do the best if you are not creative. If you have a product or offer this works very well. This is also excellent to 'spin' overly used Clickbank products and promote them to a new audience. You get a Press Release on your topic to a news source your demographic will respond to. This is only to get clicks when you share it. Having your domain as 'Fox News' will get you a LOT more clicks than 'Generic Domain'. You then promote it to your audience. I had great results with cheap Fiverr gigs re-tweeting or sharing the Press Release on 'Hot Girl' accounts when I was using a Dating Niche product. This method is entirely about wrapping your 'product' into a trusted domain and spamming it to people who would enjoy the subject and trust the domain. This also helps with SEO (Due to Press Release and ranking the Press Release). That is simply a side benefit. I also used this with the Meathead method to spam your link with manual blog commenting and outreach. This takes that method to a new level because your offer is on a trusted domain. You can get a lot of traction out of this if you twist it. I also plan on using this at Christmas time and during Black Friday / Cyber Monday to spam a product off of a trusted domain.
