Well, it's one of the easiest methods to get started - in doing so you establish yourself as a thought leader/expert in a certain niche.
From which you can monetize your site via the many different ways.
The key is in the execution though!
95% of people will not know how to create and publish content in a way that establishes themselves as a trusted authority in the niche.
This also means most people who try this method will be wasting their time creating articles/content for their site that does little to achieve their goal of making money.

I have a better way to make money. You can earn more or less depending on how much attention you give it. And it's 100% free.
- First, you need to find any website with video content (movies, adult, anime, etc.).
- Identify which player/hosting they are using, for example: StreamHG.
- Sign up for an account on that hosting platform and clone the videos from that website into your account (fast and free).
- Enable monetization on the platform or add your own ads to the player to earn money from video views.
- Look for forums and websites that allow sharing watch/download links, then post to get views or downloads (both can generate revenue).
- Share the videos as widely as possible to increase views/downloads.
- Contact the support team to negotiate the CPM rate.

Dated method sure, but I don't remember anyone posting about it recently.
It is working for me. And I posted the entire method here, at least I am not selling anything. And no it's not a troll post. And good thing, this method won't get saturated or competitive or impede other's earnings.

That would happen upon getting relevant traffic to the website. So, apart from publishing articles, there are SEO hustles as well, do not forget.
