I leave a question.. If I post same link on the forum repeatedly, which make it looks like spam. Then my account and link would be blocked... The important is there are really not enough forums to post. Assume 10 forums.. Even if everyday post one forum with one link, it won't bring in enough traffic. How to do that? thanks

Does you mean that you can find much more forums for your niche? As meathead's word, he assume 10 forums, if mean that it is enough to make money from just 10 froums?

Well, let's say you choose the smoothie blender niche.. There are tons of food and drink forums, plus you can post on hundreds of forums with women. Just choose a general niche, that everyone has in their home.
 
I've got one more question about posting on forums.
  • If my post would looks like that: "I'm looking for XYZ. Bla bla bla, please help which product you think is better: X or maybe Y"

    And X and Y are links to my blog. But of course on my blog I have homepage (with pillar articles and a few products in the text) and articles in style "Best 5 irons". So I don't have single product page. Should I still link to my homepage/best irons page in style like above? As in my opinion it doesn't look natural. Maybe something like "I saw here a few irons and from the description on the blog Y is the best for me, what do you think?" will be better?
I know that's the details but I think the devil’s in the detail :) I'd appreciate any help and advices.

probably was their's but who cares, that was a great demo to all who have been wondering how to link to a page from a forum without getting banned or in trouble, just providing helpful info by a long term member. That is how it is done, easy as that.

It would be best to link directly to a single product post especially if that is a product that you are really pushing to promote as the absolute best of the 5 irons. If you do not have a single product post, then it would be best to link to a comparison article that discusses both products X and Y. It is not necessary to link to the homepage unless the information that you are linking to can be easily found there. The more targeted your link is to the information that you are sending visitors to, the better.

One thing that you do not want to do is post the same link repeatedly. Simply post the link one time and move on to the next forum. If you are only finding 10 forums related to your niche, then you are not thinking out of the box. Over the last two pages of this thread, there have been a few really good suggestions about finding related forums to target. If necessary, you may need to consult with someone about your niche to get more ideas for forums to target.

Also, keep in mind that this is not the end-all, be-all traffic source. There will be more. However, what this does is essentially start getting traffic, clicks, etc. to your website with relevant links about your niche.

Yeah, but in that situation we won't get links to homepage of our niche website and that's also important to later organic search results, am I right? Also for example @WhitePassion said before that homepage is the most important page of our blog but in this case looks like we should more focus on text on subpages, not home?

EDIT: Ahh, ok. I went back to 1 page and first post and read again OP post:

Answers where you disagree with the original question. E.g. "no you don't need to spend $1000 on a mattress, here are some you can buy for less than $200"

So I'll try different types of answers both link to homepage as well subpages. Thanks @Dawgtown

I just had my first item ordered, but not shipped. It says item is "currently unavailable". Me and my bad luck...

I will find the similar item and change the link. I guess it is a hustle for you guys with a lot of Amazon affiliate sites?

This is a very good idea. This way, you will have a variety of links to different pages/posts on your website. It is a very natural way to link and Google will see this relationship and relevance. If you have dozens of forum posts (from a variety of forums) all linking to your homepage, that would look a little out of balance. It you have dozens of forum posts (again, from a variety of forums) linking to a mixture of individual posts and/or your homepage, this would look way more natural and help boost your rankings later.

Take a look around BHW for information on website structure using a pillar article and posts. There is some really good information on the subject and there is in-depth discussion of linking and the use of anchor text. This gets into the scope of on-page SEO as well. Basically, if you have a well written pillar article with links to your post articles and those post articles are linked to from outside sources (forum posts, social media, web 2.0s, etc.), everything will work together to boost your rankings.

This will happen from time to time for sure. If you take this as a positive, someone visited your website, clicked a link to Amazon, and ordered a product! This is cause for celebration and an indicator that you are having success with this method. As a rule of thumb, it may be a good idea to take some time to check on the availability and/or price of the items you are linking to. Maybe pick 1 day out of the week to do this, say Monday or Friday (think increased weekend traffic?).

Not every product or niche will have issues with items being out of stock but it can definitely affect your sales numbers and conversion. If your website doesn't have too many products on it, it should only take a few minutes to check and update your links if necessary. Many times, visitors to your website that go to Amazon to purchase an item only to find it is out of stock will still buy other items anyways.

Thanks again. I will try different methods both with on-page and off-page seo. I have already created accounts on forums with some posts, blog is almost ready so I'll be smarter in a few days and let know how it works :)

Thanks for providing such a personal response, much appreciated.

My issue is getting them to my website. I am finding it difficult to find the questions on forums and then answering them back with a solution.

A lot of the time either my question doesn't exist (the difficulty to set up multiple accounts on different IPs then post like a regular user and then ask the question myself is too difficult for rapid traffic as it was said in the beginning on page 1). Also, how long until people catch on that two people with a certain username just answer each other etc. Lot of effort for 1-2 posts.

Secondly the posts are like from 3-4 years ago, so bumping that thread is a little hard/too obvious.

I think I have selected a good niche, but in terms of finding it from a forum point of view (or multiple forums) seems to be the tricky part?

Im not sure, just my motivation is incredibly low, and its frustrating because I have the drive and energy but don't know where to focus it.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
