Imagine a forum like BHW but on a different subject. Who do you trust and why?

Try to actually engage with the community, join discussions, start threads and create some value for them. Main thing is to make the experts think about stuff and provide your site as the discussion topic.

I.e. instead of posting "Haha cool stuff!" and having a carpet cleaner in your signature.. You'd explain why you need a carpet cleaner instead of a vacuum one, link to two of the reviews on your site and say you've been considering one of these - what do you guys think?

You'll have the experts completely ignore the fact that it's an affiliate site and get deep into two of the products.

Since they can see that YOU trust the site - any additional information they give, will probably also be referenced from your site.

I have STARTED! And I'm taking action thanks to this kick-in-the-pants motivational guide you gave us, Meathead. Thanks a ton for your help. I'm already past phases 1 and 2, and steadily working my way through phase 3.

Ah, 3 is probably the longest, but the easiest for me. I used to write a ton of stuff for people, and even ghostwrite Kindle Ebooks. So no money put out!

Oh, how many links to Amazon is too many? Don't wanna screw myself on that if I'm linking from my articles.

EDIT: fun direction I'm taking with my niche. I'm writing up these articles with humor in mind. I'm trying to catch the attention of the reader and keep it focused so that they will continue to read. It is a good way to short quality advice with an additional snag for the reader. Something to think about, get your content to STAND OUT. I'd bet my website that this might work.

ONE MORE THOUGHT: If writing is a traversable hurdle for you to tackle (I'm looking at you native English speakers, especially Americans like me) I'd recommend writing your own content if possible. If you practice a whole shitload, there's no reason you can't eventually pop out good quality content in a short period of time. I wrote a 2200 word article tonight in about 1.5 to 2 hours. Just let it flow and fix mistakes in the back end. If I did this every night, I could have over 60,000 words of quality content in a month. 30 blog articles.

Even at a pitiful dollar per 500 words, that is 120 dollars you didn't have to pay. At a more respectable say, 20 bucks per article (which is still cheap for professional freelance content) that would be 600 bucks a month. Just something to think about.

I'm sure you're working hard, and thumbs up. You're further than most who just read this stuff and say fuck it. Now, are you sure that your niche is solid? Is it evergreen like Meathead said? Is there a large amount of interest? Perhaps since you invested the time and money into it, perhaps you should keep going if you followed his advice correctly.

This is a 6 month+ project. Hammer at it daily and see where it gets you.

A simple, easy to follow method, that will actual convert if followed. Great write up Meathead.

When this guide is complete, I expect it to receive the Sticky that it deserves.

Side note for those new to IM: It will work as-is (as long as you don't choose the mattress niche, which I can guarantee that some people will...), but, as with any method posted here, it would be advantageous to put your own unique twist or spin on this.

Yeah but you have to be really sure when you buy 10 mattresses or 4 strollers that you make your money back when your review is done, you need to move a lot of units, would not be my strategy to be honest but... if you can make it work the best to you

First, I'd never post "good work" and keep it moving. My posts are always informative and very detailed, but here's my concern: I have to use forums that are indirectly related to my niche because I don't have any forums that are directly referencing my niche like mattresses. Linking to content that's on my website is not optimal because the content that is on my website is never the topic of discussion when I'm posting replies on forums. It's like responding to a post about birth control pills and then somehow linking lysol wipes in the post. I included the signature aspect in my original post because I'm sure that's easier to click on than getting someone to click on your username, view your profile, and then venture to your website link because they trust your posts. Sure, I can create two accounts: Have one post a question to my niche and then have my other account answer, but we see that here all the time and it comes across as spammy-no matter how high the post count is. I hope that helps!

If the forum is relevant, you can always start a discussion. If not, you've got the wrong niche.

Even if it's not a mattress forum, you can start a thread about this back pain you've had for 3 years that started happening around the same time you got a new bed. You think it's the mattress and you're considering getting a new one. You heard good things about X and Y - any personal experiences?

Hi, this share inspire me to take action. I am here from long time and read almost all journeys and MM methods.
I think to make 2 sites - A site with my friend who will writing articles and reviews, because english is not my first language and for B site I will use services from here.

I already choose a niche for 1st site and bought domain and hosing plan.I did keyword research and took keywords . My main keyword have 40500 searches. Installed wordpress and made design. I am waiting for content.

B site is still on waiting.

I will put two sites in my hositng because it is a professional plan. Should I buy ip for my hosting?

Choosing the right niche is the hardest part of creating a successful affiliate site. The rest is just regular work.

I hope I found the right niche. I followed Meathead's advice to a T, so I'm guessing it's just putting in the regular work necessary to get it done. There is a hell of a lot that can be done in order to drive traffic that goes beyond good old fashioned SEO. The forum stuff is pretty smart, so I'm thinking it's good start at least.

I'm still in phase 3, writing my articles out. But, I'll probably be done here in a few days.

Anyone using darazhost.....com or would hostwinds be better, I'll like that free domain option. Being planning my campaign and writing articles, just need so advice as I wouldn't want to put all this effort in a lot of websites and get downtimes always.

Suggestion, min of 5 websites, max of 15, need reliable hosting with probably free domain name registration.

quick question about Yoast, should I disable like the category and tag pages so they don't get indexxed in google? I heard his could potentially lower rankings.

People say that, but i have never seen notable results when you do this, that being said: you should be testing this instead of asking it on a forum where you get 20 opinions, and most of them are from n00bs that are just parroting their favorite guru

Haha true true, you do get opinions of many "gurus" but I also take expert opinion into consideration when I decide to make modifications. I do like testing things, but I also like to save time, it's just what I do to amp up the learning process.

I’m not expert; still totally agree with fc-dh . As WordPress structure known by the search engines, it should not be a major problem.


By the same time one can do better than just relying on WordPress default settings.

If you don’t want to use “No Index” to the category pages, you can try one of these:

Good: If your category pages showing full posts, make it excerpt only. It will minimize internal duplicate content.

Better: Create custom “excerpt” for each post. So, there will be no duplicate content even in the category pages.

Best: Post your category pillar article to that category page and use it as a regular page with category page functionality (Where all category posts excerpt will be added automatically). You can use category page “description” for this purpose. For allowing HTML to the category description section you can use this plugin or any similar ones.

I have success with items that match these points. (These are my limits)
-must be over $200 (Amazon filter lol)
-must be in high demand
-must have lots of Amazon listings, accessories, parts, related products, reviews...
-must be talked about in forums/Q&A/social media...
-must have free shipping and/or prime options available.

Note: this is for the current 5a method. Many times the kw comp is too high to rank for (initially) but the online interaction cuts through that like a hot wire through polystyrene.

I tried your first method with the Clickbank a year ago, but due to some personal/family reasons, I couldn't dedicate time to it and had to quit. I want to try getting into IM again because I might be leaving my job soon... I'm working as a Telemarketer right now and I'm loving it but I might have to drop it because it's a night shift job and it interferes with other important parts of my life. So what I wanted to ask you is, would you recommend starting with this method or with the previous one? I read that you said that Amazon is better for beginners; what other advantages does it hold over the Clickbank route?

My amazon affiliate account got disabled as there was something wrong with them viewing my site. I had to re-apply and then wait the days before it is working again. Had to redo all the links. Getting clicks now but no orders yet.

Make sure to get email confirmation from them that the first ban was a mistake. Otherwise they might use it against you in the future and claim you've been banned before.
