Why would you sell your website that generates USD 12k for just USD 24k? I understand that you are most likely not to be able to sell an Amazon Associates revenue based site for 6-fold of your annual turnover as some other companies or in other words with this example for USD 72k, but in that case, I would rather scale it up and cash in the monthly increasing revenues

I would suggest a niche that has at least a few products above $100. The lower end is great for volume but it's hard to hit the higher earnings levels.

Valuation wise, as a very approximate rule of thumb, if you get your Amazon affiliate website to $1000 a month (following this method) then you would expect it to sell for around $24,000.

Again, whilst it is likely with this method your site will get organic traffic after a while I'm keep it simple for now. SEMrush is a useful tool (I use it daily) but I've never found it to be accurate with visitor/traffic/earnings estimations.

I've sold a few sites in the past and will continue to do so.

Here's a few reasons:
1) 25-35x monthly income right at once - cash for investing in to future projects with more potential/with more interest for you.
2) Less risk - I don't have to worry about Google updates and whatever (even with whitehat sites)
3) Sites lose value if you don't take care of them.

Sites from my Amazon affiliate journey have been decreasing in revenue 25% per year because I've put no work into them. Rather sell it for what it's worth now, instead of having nothing left of them in two years, because I haven't worked on them.
 
and it doesn't cost you more! In contrary, he helps you to save money and funds the best quality product/service available for the budget

The goal of this threat is to show complete beginners how to start. Even though there are good information here not only for newbies. Furthermore, it is motivating a lot of people actually to do it and take action, which is the biggest hurdle.

and as you can see from the various (repeated) questions, even with these detailed instructions for a lot of them it is still too much or not clear enough and a learning curve

Thank You meathead, for this guide. I have my first order.

I like how I have been able to build it myself using your guidance, and then end up getting results. I know it is a fair amount of work upfront, a lot of people will give up. But for those that are motivated (and not just by money) to see it through then I am sure that there will be some of us with some pretty healthy websites. And I am sure that some will work with the OP to sell the sites for them and some will want to keep and maintain their sites. The option will be up to the site owners if they keep or sell their sites.

It's funny in so many ways how people talk about how this is a huge investment, either in terms of money or time.

It's literally $50 to get the site set up for the next year, maybe $25-50 for content. Two hours for research, 3 hours for setup.

My first month was about 20 hours of work and netted $600 plus plenty more this month (while doing no work on this particular site).

Now think of a "real business". How much will it cost you to set up? How long will it take you to reach $1k/mo? Will you be able to sell it in a year or two for $XX,XXX?

Just some food for thought.

I agree with you that it is not a massive investment, but for some of us it is clearly not as easy to get set up as cheaply and easily as those who have done similar sites before. I would hope that one day I could do it for the money and time that did it for, but I am not there yet. I am not complaining, it I am getting a good education whilst doing this. I am slow and probably over think a lot of it.

I was not sure how the articles should looks so I purchased from a reputable BHW -[TABLE="width: 100%, align: center"]

Cool stuff, boss. That trickle adds up big time if you shell it out. This is obviously doable, and I'm selling my odds and ends to free up a solid 100 bucks to get started. Have a niche in mind and everything.

Okay, so I have studied SEO for several years without taking much action. Curious, what do you use for long tail research? I figure there has to be a simple tool out there. I figured Googles keyword tool would be solid if I didn't care about competition metrics, but I can't afford ATM to buy into some keyword research product.

Any recommendations? I know I could probably search around, Ilbut I thought I would contribute to this epic thread too.

Yep, i agree that it's expensive but as WhitePassion confirmed,
it is really increasing the conversion rate. So maybe it's a game changer
AFTER a few months of earnings! Maybe you'll double your earnings
so yeah, it's an investment.


Also, meathead, do you recommend the use of comparison tables ?
Other experienced members are recommending the use of a
comparison table at the end of the article...


Lastly, I'm doing my spin on this method, and I'm mixing CPA products with
Amazon Products and will compare the conversion rate... What's great about
my niche is that you have the same category of products on different platforms.
I'm really picky about which products I'm promoting when it comes to CPA offers.

My niche allows me to mix the two and I'm targeting foreign, not Amazon US.
Amazon is really popular and trusted even outside the US.
Look at the thread from arganrecords (in Italy) who's doing an authority
Amazon Affiliate site...


I already earned 90euros from the CPA offers, and 30euros from Amazon with
the site as it just ranked #2 for a 5400 searches/month keyword and #1 for its
long-tail variations (590 searches/month on average) since 2 weeks.

CTR is 5% on average.

Will tweak my copy to the max to see if it's worth it to stay with this angle
of attack. If not, I'll switch the site to a Rank and Rent website !

That's a lot of info man. And although I don't agree with most affiliate marketing methods this one is pretty good.
 
I PMed you Meathead. *sigh* Time to choose a new niche. I've been commenting my butt off on forums related to my niche, nothing. For the people who have made money so far, are you just commenting on posts with your website link in the signature? Hopefully, part B allows me to start with a new outlook, but in the meantime I'm picking a new niche. Time, effort, money wasted, but it's cool.
 
I have tried commenting on blogs and forums for a couple of months and I was also disappointed with the results. This does not work for everybody. I guess you need to comment on a blog post or a forum thread that will become popular and get lots of traffic in order for this to work, which can be a hit and miss...Anyways, I now do it only to increase the number of back links to my sites and 99% of my traffic comes from Google.

I understand in some country it is a lot of money when an average salary is about USD 100/200 a month. If someone doesn't have USD 50 but is serious to commit to this project, in that case, they should borough it from friends and family and pay them back in 3-4 months from your first payment or do a joint-venture with some friends for the first site.

I'm confused about the privacy and Amazon disclosure page. I see many niche sites where they do not have it in the menu, but I thought it had to be shown at a clear spot for the visitor to see?

Where do you put the disclosure pages.
 
I'm trying to follow this method along with some other method I had developed from ideas shared here on BHW, but my question is where can I find the simplest Keyword research guide, for long tail keywords and also will anyone have a recommendation for Hosting or best alternative, as I want to host a number of sites in the future, probably an empire of websites, all focus on so many different methods on this forum.

Thanks Meathead for the amazing method, tried following your first $100 a day thread in the past but fail as I had very little knowledge about online marketing and also was then residing in a part of the world where power was not reliable, least to say internet. But, right now I'm just trying to read and gain the needed knowledge gradually, but I know I have been losing track as I am more focused or the making money methods, rather than techniques, which I plan to focus on moving forward. Anyone who has a thread that could be recommended for basic Keyword Research, SEO, Adsense and Website management can kindly share.
