This is the old "white van scam" where guys will pull up next to you in a parking lot and ask if you want to get some speakers or dvd players, whatever, for CHEAP! If you say sure, they pull over and show you perhaps an invoice saying that their particular product is $1500 retail but they can give them to you for [name your price]. The actual equipment theyre selling you is from wish.com or aliexpress and definately not worth that much. You think its worth $1500 (its actually worth $25) you "haggle down" to $100 and you feel like you got a great deal, while they are laughing all the way to the bank. It takes a really good fast-talking person to make that scam work. What youre talking about here is exactly that. You're right, its all psychology!
