[method] Journey to the moon - News site + adsense

Hi Ya'll.

To the point:
1: I am creating a news/media site on a niche(ish) topic.
2: Promoting the articles using free+paid methods.
3: Reach the goal of $10 a day.

Ok so lets back up a little. This journey is basically to keep me accountable towards a specific goal. The journey/method is nothing special or new, though I will document what I do and hopefully it will help someone.
So the niche I am going for...wait for it...waaaiitttt.....its: CRYPTO currencies !!!
The aim is to create a blog where I post interesting content in that topic, I will also do technical tutorials on coding smart contracts etc.

Monetization: Currently the plan is to have Adsense and down the line will push an eBook.
Content: I will be writing the content myself, though I will pay for articles here and there.
Traffic: Posting on FB groups, commenting, Quora answers, SEO (hopefully) and paid FB ads. Posting of links will be done naturally and will fit the conversation non-spammy!

The goal of $10 a day is not really about the money, its more of having a clear target to work towards.
Will try to update this Journey as often as possible, or when I have new updates.
I will take advice from other members so you feel included in this Journey. I will also be as transparent as possible and try to answer questions.

Progress so far,
- Domain name purchase.
- SSL certificate.
- Hosting account.
- Theme installation (hint - got it here on BHW)
- Written 1 article

To do,
- Logo
- Social media profiles
- more articles (will need min(5) before going live)
- on-site SEO

Just finished building new site too with that same goal. $300 by the end of the month. Let's see how it all goes... I'm looking for a good theme for review sites though.. Who has any suggestions?

- I managed to create the logo today
- Got 1 article coming from a fellow BHW member (Paid).
- 5 paid articles are being made from a secondary source.

Once I get the site running, will start writing more articles myself.

planning to add adsense today and next week will start to send traffic.

I am using the newspaper theme. Its a decent theme and easy to modify.

I am using an existing old Adsense account that I used before.

I just inserted ads in the "ads" section of the newspaper 8.5 theme, and.......The ads are being replaced by Adsalsa ads! WTTF!. In some occasions I do see the actual adsense ads, and on different occation they are replaced by Adsalsa ads. Ads such as "you are the 1 million visitor.....".

Do you guys think its the theme doing this? Maybe since I haven't activated it?
I haven't installed any new plugins, so I doubt its compromised. Also the directory is password protected so my guess is the newspaper8.5 theme is injecting these ads?

Would appreciate if anyone had this issue with ads.

Quick update:

Managed to refine articles with Yoast SEO.

4 articles are published and the site just went live today.

Did some posts on FB groups, Quora etc, so far on Day 1:

Traffic: 120 page views
Earnings: $TBA

Any questions or imputs on how to improve are appreciated!

1 issue I have found is that its incredibly hard to find someone who can write decent articles that look at least better than spinners!
Let me know if you know any good sellers that can provide high Quality content.

so, just over a day since I made the site public, these are the results:

So overall,
Total Impressions so far: 2,800
Earnings: $1.02
Clicks: 2

Detailed breakdown of stats in the link: https://imgur.com/a/TdaYV

I am not really happy, I was expecting more than 2 clicks for 350 users.

The bounce rate is 72%
Average time on site: 1 min & 23 seconds

Not sure if this is normal, or if I should expect higher earnings?

Can anyone share their stats? Not sure if I am missing something here or not.

I will keep this Journey updated and hopefully, it will help someone.
Let me know if you'd like me to include more stats or any other information.

What are your traffic source ? have you started getting traffic from Google ?

The source is mostly from Facebook, The site has been live for 2 days only, so its too early for any organic reach.
