Learned a lot on this site so figured i should share a bit. Let's get to it:
I own my own eCommerce site to which i sell products i make. My goal was to increase (start) our social media branding but since im a fan of instagram that's where i decided to start with.
So i figured my best bet would be to do a contest/giveaway:
1) Create a page on your site for the contest. This should have all the details rules etc. Mine read as follow:
Do you want to go above and beyond? Then here is how;
Share the above picture on Instagram, Facebook, twitter, etc. Make sure you put #fanestgiveaway on the caption so we can see it.
Contest Rules:
2) Go to instagram and comment/like pictures based on #hashtags related to your business. You can do this by hand or use your favorite bot. I personally used Botstagram.
Only had 5 accounts and targeted about 10 #hashtags for a period of one week.
3) Outcome (with screenshots)
Instagram followers gain: +2,183
Twitter Follower gain: +77
Facebook page likes: +126
Email Subscribers: +331
Total followers on the extra 5 accounts: +10,000
4) My goal was to increase our followers not to make money therefore not focused on such, but for the ones interested I made $100 on sales, again wasn't my goal.
Next step?
Bought a new VPS
Installed a new copy of Botstagram
Increasing to 100 accounts.
In theory i should be able to get this results times 20.
