A lot of people take this step for granted and later on they complain. That they didn't get follow back or followers as they expected, Man no likes to follow shit looking pages. So Read this post upto last so that you will have a good idea about " How you should setup your profile page ".
Before going ahead you should know that, You profile page consist of 4 Important components
1) Username
2) Profile Picture
3) Name
4) Bio
Each and every component plays an important role so lets discuss them in more depth and detail.
1) Username
Let me ask you a question, you opened your Instagram account and you get 2 follow requests. 1 from @luxurycars and 2nd from @luxurycars198932782782
Which one will you follow back ? Ovio the fist one right ? ( I know finding good usernames are not easy now a days but thats why IG allows us to use " _ " " . " so that you can make it more clean and easy to remember.
But some people choose username that are very hard to remember as well as complicated so choose username which is short and easy to remember.
And one more thing, choose username which related to your niche/business. Suppose if you are into cars niche then make sure to include cars in your username so that people can get an ideas about your niche by just reading your username only, and also remember if your username indicate that you are into cars niche and you post travel related content then it doesn't make sense and people will unfollow you as well .So only post content which is related to your niche
2) Profile Picture
Basically there are 3 types of account ( Personal band / niche / product ). And profile picture should be different in all these types of accounts.
A) Personal Brand - In this type of accounts you are face of your account, so you should use your original pic ( ever you are ugly AF
JK ).
Never use logo in these types of accounts because if someone search for you on IG they will recognise you via your face only.
And use HD pics because the profile picture space is small so your face should be crystal clear.
B) Niche Account - In this type of account you should use pictures which are related to your niche ( thats obvious ) but only choose pictures which have bright colours to attract attention.
You should check profile picture of top accounts in your niche so that you can get inspiration from them.
You can use Letters profile pictures ( for example - If your page name is " THE MOTIVATION ZONE " then you can make a graphic with letters " TMZ " or you can search on google " TMZ logo " and you will find a lot of images with these letters.
C) Product - In these type of accounts you should never use your personal picture because it should look more professional, you should logos only.
For example - Nike ( https://www.instagram.com/nike/ )
Their logo is that check mark so they are using it as their profile picture, and if you have any object or something that belongs to your brand then you can use that as well.
3) Name -
In name field you should use keywords which are related to your niche because these are searchable.
For example - If you are into travel niche, then you should use travel related keywords there because whenever someone search that on IG then your page will be shown there. So always use keywords in your name field.
4) Bio
The next one is bio, this is really important because if you have incomplete bio then people are not going to take your page seriously as it doesn't look nice.
- Always use emojis in BIO
- Always use call to action in bio
- Promote other social media channels, so that people can find you on other channels as well
- Add website link
