This works the same with a lot of forums to strengthen your profile links.

Yeah the problem remains for some forums that when you enable "Enable my signature in all of my existing posts" in the signature. Moderators ban users for replying in threads, even if you replied with relevant reply.

That isn't what I meant.

Make a username that is a keyword. Make a profile with your website in it. Start liking people's posts. The likes (username) link back to your profile.

This technique used to be used to give profiles more weight. I doubt I'd waste time with it any more.
