It feels as if this was written for me.
I dived headfirst into the Shopify + Facebook Ads meme after buying Tim Sharp's course on Udemy, I followed everything and bought my domain + Shopify subscription - set up my facebook Ad campaign and now after spending $ everyday on Ads for three days I already feel like "it's probably not gonna work".

As silly as it sounds, I dived into the saturated general apparel niche because "it's not a seasonal niche so I can slowly build it into a brand". To my surprise it's one of the hardest niches because everybody else does it, just now I ran into a facebook page of a competitor that sells purses and dresses for $2 and $7 while my apparel that takes 14 days to ship costs $19.somethin'

It's only been three days and I'm already feeling shaken, but thanks to this post I'll do my best to hang on and keep doing it and try to optimize along the way. I'm losing money, never made a sale, but I won't stop going and keeping my faith.
I work as a Janitor and I spend all of my free time reading up on BHW. I've got no other choice than to continue what I started or else I'll be in this position forever.

You just don't. It's simpler than that. Hear everything, be open minded. But consume only what feels right.
If something sounds too good to be true, and smells like bullshit, then it probably is.

OK, What I meant is after you did all those hard stuff (finding a niche, building a website, selecting products ,generating traffic) and at the end you didn't make any 1 penny even if you have been waiting for more than year, or you earn a lot of money and when you want to cash it out simply you can't, I say that because I'm from a country is hard to predict about it's future, it's under siege and the economical situation is very dangerous, banks can collapse in any time. So, if I can make money it's just still numbers on my screen. This is what I'm afraid of. Thanks for your interest and I hope you understand me.

I am truly sorry for the situation you are in... What country are you from? I think this would help a little to understand you better.

And I can honestly say that I understand the "overwhelming" factor here, because I've been there and still battle this within myself. I don't know if you are new to this whole making money thing online or you have experience. But talking from my own experience - don't overwhelm yourself with things that don't matter right now. In your case that would be "how will I cash out my earnings?". It might be true that it may well be difficult to cash out money in your country, but there is ALWAYS a solution of one kind or another. What you should be caring about is HOW you will make that money and only WHEN you start making money ( if you even will manage to do that ), THEN you will bother yourself with how to cash that out.

I used to be in dropshipping on ebay few years back and we had an issue of growing way too fast for our own good ( which eventually collapsed on us ), and I'm not from US and I come from a country that wasn't very trustworthy at the time and we had to come up with a way to cash out about $1.5mil throughout 2 year period. That's from 1000~ stealth paypal accounts. And we did find a solution ONCE we had such problem. Now imagine if we did raise the issue once we began to work, we probably wouldn't even have started doing anything in the first place because from point "0" it looks very overwhelming and impossible to do, because of all the regulations and limitations and all that hassle we had to go through.

So overall my point being. Start small and attain some little victories of actually picking a niche, building that website, writing those articles and slowly but steadily building something out of nothing. Once you actually find a little bit of success you will find the motivation to solve any problem that comes your way. I know it looks very difficult now, but once you gain some momentum, it's not so scary anymore. It's important to ground yourself and believe in what you do. Pick whatever floats your boat, as they say, and stick with it until you make it.

People here WILL help you if you'll show that you are actually doing something.

That`s really well replied.
I gave up once because i let other factors effect me.
The hard part is convincing yourself to go for it again because of the downfalls.ie no instant wage/pay coming in unless your lucky
But nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Very nice thread! I have started to organic traffic from instagram for 4 months. The value is limited, the pay out is not enough for tool price! I just follow the old method and it seem backward. Something should be change! Thank you!

i Read it loved it, but be better as a video even with voice overs as it so long .....

for me as a blind user was brilliant becouse i got james bond speaking it all out loud lol.

i think motivation video are better then written just my opioion .

i got to agree that when you start 1 project must try and make some money via keeping with it , your only make money if your working hard every day , the reason many say do somethink you like becouse of boardoom so do somethink you like doing or no about.

if you got no money use all the free online services like hosts,vps,domains the list is endless so there no excuse to suceed.

if your already doing a project and getting board have long breaks go for a walk do exercise , come back when filling fresh.

when you make your first cash , no matter how much celebrate , time to relise it can be done and there money to make online .

You are absolutly right mate.
I've already lost my 2-3 years to do things and quit after they are not working. If you stick on one plan no matter what problems comes in yhen you will success.
I learn this but wested too much time, but gain huge knowledge of IM.
Now I'm working on one plan until I make money on that thing.

great article you broke my procrastination and give me motivation to work online last 2-3 years tried lot of method blogging adsense facebook ads youtube make channel but lazy to continue it then i move to other method last 2-3 years read lot of method on bhw and other forum but never take action for procrastination and laziness have lot of time and got knowledge about internet marketing cpa blogging shopify youtube etc i read every method in blackhatwrold but i didnt take action i dont know why now i feel what i was now feeling so much broken i buy lot of resource but i never take action i just read and may be i forget that last method or tutorial and next day i read another method and next day another and its continue and now i realize why i am not stick with single method before 2 years i earned 2000 plus from IM after that i didnt stick with single one i tried method 2-3 days after that move another one now i realize i have enough knowledge to live in IM . sometime i thought im is not for me Thank You so much for back to me in IM life and starting from zero.

I am very new in the IM community and I am willing to learn and get started, for so long I have been wondering what actually I have to start on with here and what so many people have been saying and the little I have read I couldn't understand what I have to do to get going in this money making wagon. I told myself that I am not just going to post meaningless post here randomly until I figure out exactly what I need to do and how to go about it, then I saw this wonderful post and it was as if you knew what most people like me are passing through in fields such as this.
I am going to read it over again till every word of yours sinks into my brain. Thank you very much for taking your time to do this.
