I have been benefiting from these forums for some time now, so I'd like to give back a little bit. I hope some of you find this useful.
Many sites such as article directories or expression engine forums have/require "About Me" sections.
I find these extremely tedious and horribly boring to write, and when doing mass submissions I prefer to leave as few tracks behind as possible. Meaning I try to make them as unique as possible.
I'm sure many of you do something similar, but I'd like to share maybe it'll save some newbies some time.
What do most About Me's consist of?
1. Where you're from, and 2. What you like to do, 3. What you do for a living
Thankfully, occupations, locations, and interests are numerous and common to all people. Therefore, we have lists.
Great source for lists? WIKI's, forums, as well as crawled .txt files
I will find a list with maybe 1,000 hobbies but of course it's not going to be in spintax format. That's where some interesting tools come in handy.
You can see it's listed one by one with numbers in front.
I copy the list and visit,
the site is has some very powerful formatting tools that are free to use and go well beyond to capabilities of Notepad.
Now you can do this in notepad as well, but the basic idea is you want to find and replace each number and then the period with a blank space using only one character at a time till you have a list of just words.
Then copy and paste this list and click on "Add Prefix Or Suffix"
And you want to add the | character as your suffix for each
Then copy and paste this list and you want to click on "Add Or Remove Line Breaks"
and there you have it practically spintax ready, just add brackets { and } to each side and clean up anything that needs to be cleaned up for example the extra | on the end of the very last word.
I do this for all 3 of the things mentioned above and craft very unique about me's for mass submissions. I then spin it on the sentence level as well and you have literally an endless supply of unique about me's you can create for article/forum/whatever submissions.
