Hi everyone,
I want to share with you how I search for hashtags that I use.
Maybe a lot of you know this, but I bet a lot of beginners don't search hashtags like this.
This is the method I use to try to rank in TOP 9 or just to get a big reach.
Let's start
1. What is your picture about?
Often I see that people post hashtags that even don't describe their picture/video as it is.
For example: If you post a video where a guy is doing bench-press, the hashtag #fitnesscouple is really not the choice to go with. This is a dumb example just to tell you that not all hashtags in your niche are right for every post in your niche.
2. How many likes do you get on average post?
This is very important if you want to rank in Top 9.
If the picture in Top 9 post of the hashtag have all more than 2k likes and you are getting on average 300 likes, probably you stand no chance to rank there. That is not hashtag you are searching for.
All interactions with your post are important - Likes, Comments, Saves, Direct Messages... but you can only see Likes and Comments of other posts, so... use them as your metric.
METHOD
For this method, I will use my example from survival - bushcraft - outdoors niche.
I have 1.4k followers, average likes 300 ( after using hashtags found through this method I got 500 likes and reach got from 2-3k to 8-10k...and it always goes better )
For example, I want to post a picture of bushcraft tools on it.
So I search for hashtags that :
1. Describe my picture well -> in top 9 are pictures with bushcraft tools
2. At least one of the pictures has fewer likes that I get on average ( 300 in my case )

This is an example of how I save hashtag so later can go through them when I want to post a picture:
You can see that I write down:
average likes
min likes
max likes
average comments
min comments
max comments
I also wrote the views on videos in picture to know how many I need to rank.
Min likes in this top 9 posts is 130, which means that I could rank in that hashtag, so I use it.
And you also can see that 2 pictures in the top 9 are just like the one I am posting.
This is a slow way to collect the hashtags, but I think it is important to visually see if you match that specific hashtag.
I now use 5-10 hashtags that are really good describing my post and that I can rank in according to likes that I get on average. Before I was using 30 and getting far worse results.

NOTE: If any of you know the way to speed up this hashtag research please write below. I know for many hashtag tools but non-displays top 9 pictures visually which I thought is important.
