as for me a have amazon site and i direct them to my site, so after this i get traffic,commissions and i get returning customers. you can twist it many ways to suit you liking hope this helps;)
 
I just wanted to add that you will only get paid for items that are shipped. Right now I have 5 orders from my links, but once they ship, I should get paid :). it's funny because they all occurred yesterday and all from recommend products through Amazon that they didn't ask a YA question about.

Maybe you're coming on too strong? Like: "BUY THIS GREAT PRODUCT! [AFF LINK]", instead of: "So I had the same problem as you last week and this product helped me get through it. [Cloaked Link]".

If ANYTHING, I'm actually get chosen as the best answer on Yahoo! =D

EDIT: NOT that I'm making any money of it.

Here we go:

1. Go to amazon and sign up to become an associate if you have not already

2. Go to yahoo and become a yahoo answers member.

3. Now once your all ready to go what we are going to do is search yahoo answers for people that are looking to buy something. Now in the search bar put "where can I buy" or " I want to buy" . You will be shocked to how many people are asking where they can buy a certain item.

4. Now you will get a list of people asking where they can buy whatever they are looking for. Now there's a trick you have to do to get your link from amazon on to yahoo answers because amazon doesn't offer direct links to there products only html .
now once you have found the product (in this step you must have a twitter account) tweet the product on twitter. Now once its tweeted go to your main twitter account and copy the link you have posted on there and paste it with your reply on yahoo answers.

The great thing about twitter is that when you tweet an amazon product twitter will short the link to the amazon product and with that you will be able to post it on yahoo answers!!

Now repeat this over and over and you should see some amazon cash real soon!

I also had a lot of my links flagged when I posted before, just wasnt for me.
 
I tried this a while back, built an account up to lvl2 tried it for a day. Semi-good for noobs.
 
That's a old school method but works thanks for reminding me, my account got banned pretty quick but worth a try again.

I think I'm going to start this back up again. I've been lazy these past few.....months...and busy with school work. IM has been getting in the way, but I need money lol. I hope it still works :)
