[METHOD] Get backlinks from Wikipedia

Hey Carlito,
Nice method here.
Just want to know if you have add links to wiki pages that related to your niche as well?
Is it hard to add them?

Thanks.:D

OK so regarding to all the fighting on this topic.... mudbutt is right about the fact that if you lets say make about 100 backlinks from wikipedia to your site you aint doin yourself a favour in my opinion this will actually hurt your site and make it look spammy but.... the op is also right, building 2-3 backlinks to your site from wikipedia(doesnt matter if they are nof0ll0w), will help your backlink diversity and it will also boost your site`s authority a little bit..... Cheers

Thats what I was saying, but these sheeple want to believe what they want to believe. If you're going to be putting links on wikipedia (which I do have a few on there as well) put them on pages related to your KW that will actually bring targetted TRAFFIC as well as the "trust" you get from wikipedia (theoretically). As far as spamming wikipedia for hundreds of backlinks that wont help your rankings or gain you any more trust then one or two links.

OP how do you find inactive keyword discussion? It seems hard to find it because when I try to find "micro keyword", usually the page doesnt even exist for that keyword.

Totally corect and agreed. I repeat DO NOT SPAM wikipedia with hundreds of links, you aint doin yourself a favor.... And like mudbutt said if you`re gonna put a backlink on wikipedia put it on a related page.

Seems to work, just got 2 keyword related backlinks from Wiki using this method, we'll see if it sticks and if it shows up in the rankings.

Cool, I just got a few links in wikipedia - time will tell if they stick, all looks genuine and valid, so hopefully have a good chance.

Cheers,
Si

of course related keywords are better, who say that is not? My method is a "simple" method to get links from wiki, you can try to get links from wiki the right way (ie modifying an existing page and put your link) but it is very hard to make your link stick, good luck.

Reminder : those who are not interested by this method or another one, just pass by don't troll the thread thanks.

Anyway here is another tip to get even more links on wiki with a twist of this method : search for foreign language wiki discussions, like pakistanian or romanian ones, those pages are not much moderated and your links will stick even better.
Use GG translator to translate pages you find.

Great method, I don't understand why other complaint here. Link is a link. And a link from the authority site, like wikipedia, is even better link.

Thanks for the method OP.

ive been using this for a couple years with pretty good success rate. I have dozens of live links in wikipedia that have lasted for years. Just popped one in a week ago and its still up so it looks good. Aside from blank discussion pages you should look for pages that haven't been edited in a few years. this will reduce the chance of your link being removed as spam.

you really dont know how well it worked for a few weeks when you see if the link is still up. if its done correctly it absolutely works, but I cant stress enough that you also need to check when the page was last edited. I like mine to have been sitting untouched for a couple years. Just snagged myself a nice link on a pr4 that hadnt been touched since 2006.

i did this method but i never knew how to check backlinks. sorry but this is a newb question - how do you check backlinks?

my old method was to go on yahoo then type in linkdomain:wwwdotexampledotcom
The generally accepted format to find backlinks to any
domain has always been: "link: domain.com" (WITHOUT QUOTES)
on most all search engines.

Enjoy ..... :cool2:
