Hi,
I want to share this nice method to get links from wikipedia, maybe some of you know it but it can help those who don't, because wiki links are great to climb in serps even if they are Nof0ll0w.

So in fact you have to search for wikipedia "discussions" with this footprint :
inurl:"http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk" "keyword"
Then select discussions pages which are empty, to be sure noone will come and delete your post, and let your link.

Enjoy :)

I have spread many links on wiki with this technique and I noticed great improvements in serps.

Thanks :)

sorry I am being a complete noob and cannot get this to work, can you explain to me or PM me , thanks

sorry i've edited the thread i made a mistake in the url, sorry again it's ok now ;)

enjoy

tried but they deleted my page??

yeah it may arrive, but if you choose a very uncompetitive keyword (for example the name of a little village, or an unknown artist, etc) your link will stick.

Everything is in the keyword choice :)

gonna try it; will share my experience (whether they will stick or not) later :)

I guaranty they'll stick my friend, just make sure to target forgotten discussions.

I've got around a hundred links sticking on wikipedia since one year now.

carlito,
this is amazing, just made one link.

So for me to be clear, trick is to search for v unpopular subject that you start your own discussion on? :)

yep, and you'll see that noone will come and answer your post if you chose the discussion correctly :)

You can even put an anchor text in your links, you"ll be fine

Awesome man, made 2 now with linktext

Carlito easily a +rep and +thanks from me, easiest (& v powerful) manual link building ever!

Thank you very much:)

As ezlegion reminded me, you can create an account on wikipedia, it won't hurt ;)

It's always better to post on wikipedia with an account than without one.

And to make things natural you can participate to other discussions too

I created an account and made two post with links to my site. I edited two discussions that were last edited in like 2009. I'm assuming that is what you are talking about.

I think 2009 is still too recent, prefer discussions date before 2008, and the best is to pick up discussions that are empty (those I choose).
