Alright, so if you're like me you have a ton of outsourced CEO monkeys always spamming the hell out of you, offering to do SEO for you.

I decided to try an experiment last week, and instead of fighting I started talking to them, mostly out of curiosity. But as I was talking to them my curiosity slowly grew into an opportunity.

These motherfuckers fight like crazy for your business, and are willing to jump through all sorts of hoops. Nothing seems strange to them, because they're used to sucking the dicks of any mom and pop dentist out there in an effort to dupe some fool into paying them for SEO. Once they are getting paid, it turns out, they pretty much send a bunch of automated shitty links to your site, hope it ranks well for a bit, and eventually their PBN gets found out and mom and pop get totally screwed. Bad business.

So I started talking to these motherfuckers and ended up asking for all examples of their work - I asked for 10 references each, and most ended up supplying 10-15 examples of sites they were working for.

I hired a VA to contact all of these folks (but you can do it on your own), and ended up sending something like 149 emails explaining the situation and selling what I would do for their sites if they hired me instead. Told them the basics of how SEO works, the whole 9 yards, you get it. The key here is I actually took the time to do the grunt work. That's where 99% of people go wrong anyway - there's nothing wrong with the method, you just can't be so damn lazy and you have to actually do it well. I found the keywords I would _actually_ go after, a few link opportunities I would _actually_ get for them; none of this "let me not think about you and spam the hell out of your site" bullshit. Actual, real work.

I hit up all of those people with very detailed info - about 150 in all. I showed them what was wrong with their sites, gave them a realistic estimate for how their sites could change, etc.

Within a week I had 13 new SEO clients all paying $400/month. Do the math - = $5,000+/month, and really basic stuff.

At the end of the day everything you read on here comes down to a lot of hard grunt work. Do that shit and you'll bank.

Nice share, shows there's an opportunity everywhere if we're just willing to put in the work

After a long time I read something smart man. Congrats.. Keep it up.

I have heard this story from others in the past, and it seems you are right. This kind of real world work can generate a lot of income, but the crowd here at BHW is a bit spoiled to work so much. At least I know I am.

Nonetheless, here's a method that certainly works if you work it. Kudos OP!

Generally I find that I have the most success when I assume that everyone else on BHW is lazy and stupid, and I tend to be right.

Assuming everyone already has the answers is the quickest way to sit there waiting for answers you could easily find on your own.

This method definitely works.

I've been doing the same for social media.

Find competitors that overcharge/suck, ask for samples, offer a cheaper/better service, and bank.

Great share!

Wow. Smart and ethical. That's a rare combination. Serves them right though, I think we all have gone through this at some point of time.

Thanks for sharing! I already sent a some emails out to recent "SEO" guys who have contacted me to my business email (man I get a lot of those).
Seems like we can utilize this and have them bring the clients directly to us.

I'm not familiar with SEO, so is it possible to have this outsources? If so, who would you recommend for this?

I imagine you can easily upsell them some marketing services for FB and etc. Awesome share!

Cheers

youd basically be taking them away from one shitty seo company and bringing them on to yours.

Did you not read what he said? grunt work, hard work pays off.

hey aus10, when you said: "Alright, so if you're like me you have a ton of outsourced CEO monkeys always spamming the hell out of you, offering to do SEO for you."

how do I find out these SEO spams?

A guy had shared a similar method like 2 years ago...trying to find that thread...if anyone can also do the same I would appreciate it!

This is just great. Not in Client SEO but this would really work as you have everything Price that you will charge, client details and loopholes.

Great idea if done perfectly.
