Well we have tried a few other monetization methods but adsense seems to work best right now. Our second best earnings came from Indeed... but we've switched off of that and back to adsense for now.

Hey, how many web 2.0s, article directories, and social bookmarks do you submit to? Also, would you recommend doing this for EMD as well?

And you mentioned that you use VA to build links for EMD. What is VA?

I'm still new at this, and would appreciate any advice on link building, or perhaps a video tutorial like those other awesome vid tuts on your site. Also, maybe you can share some free methods to backlinking for EMDs. Thanks.

I've watched your LTP videos and read your blog posts, very insightful, thanks :)

I was wondering in what was do you use SEMRush? Is this for competition keyword analysis?

- We submit to about 200 that go directly to the site.
- VA is a virtual assistant.
- I'm planning on getting those tutorial videos up soon.

We use SEMrush alongside long tail pro to completely find keywords and dominate a niche. I'll make a video on this eventually. But basically, SEMrush finds all the keywords a site is ranking for. So if you find a good niche and you find a competitor in that niche - you can go through all of his keywords and dominate all the same low hanging fruit. It's not uncommon for us to get 10+ good keywords at once using SEMrush.

Hi Mate, First Phase:- Register with google adword
Second Phase:- Just Login and see the options above tools just click on that and see the CPC with each keywords as per your Requirements....Thanks

General Criteria:

  • Exact Local Search Volume (ELSV): At least 800
  • CPC: At least $0.80
  • Even though we are using these minimums, we want ELSV x CPC = at least 1000. In other words, if the CPC is $0.80, we will only go for it if the ELSV is at least 1250 because 0.80 x 1250 = 1000.

I'm still new at this, so just want to understand this better. What do the values you stated mean in terms of how much you earn? Also, are there maximums, or the higher the better?

And lastly, say I setup a MNS site with ELSV 1000 and CPC $0.10 (I didn't know how to view CPC at the time), should I bother to build backlinks for it, or will it be a waste of time in terms of profits.

Thanks!

I'm very interested to learn about the SEMrush method and look forward to that video :) One question, when you say you may find 10+ good keywords, do these "good" keywords have an EMD?

Well I've read people make calculations as to what you can earn if you rank in the top 3 ... it was something in the lines of:

Exact Local Search Volume x .30 (the amount of people that visit your site) x .07 (estimated click through rate) x CPC x .40 (percentage that Google gives you) = Your monthly income from the site.

That being said, I find this formula to be FAR from an exact science. I've ranked and made far less than the estimation and I've also ranked and made way more than this estimation. You really just have to test it and find out for yourself what the actual payout is.

As for the MNS that you already made, it's really hard to say. If you feel that if you are confident you can rank then you might give it a shot. Sometimes the keyword tool misses by a mile.

Well some of them have EMD and some of them don't. I would say that 70% of the keywords we go for have EMD.

This formula is very similar to my site

Don't listen to the hatters mate, keep on trucking your doing a great job. The business is Internet Marketing and I'm pretty sure that means promoting your site to people. I've read through most of your site and your content is great quality and there are people who find it very useful. The hatters will hate.

</end rant>

I was wondering when your in the bulk site building phase e.g. when your building the 30 sites at once. Do you use a WP plugin like "Backup and Move" to help speed up the process?

I've never heard of back up and move. I've considered using WP-twin since we already have it, but the changes that we make are so specific that wp-twin becomes virtually useless in my opinion. Anyway, we have a VA that does most of the site set up, and we have an article writing team that builds the articles. It's pretty efficient the way it is, but we're always looking to make improvements for us and our workers.

I've been following and commenting on your site as well.

I would like to know how you manage so many sites. What tool do you use to check 200 plus rankings and finally, after you rank a site, what do you do to solidify the position. I know you add another 500 word article, but links, etc? Or do you just sell a site after 3 months and make more?

Hey darrenjzy all we do is check how our sites are doing on adsense and then we make an excel sheet of which sites are earning and which sites are not. We haven't yet picked out a good rank tracker that will organize our sites - we're still shopping around to find the best one. After our first run, we haven't noticed sites dropping off, so we haven't built more links yet. If we notice some dropping off, then we'll look into building more links to them. Lately we've been keeping almost all of our sites, but we have sold a few of them on our blog.

Good stuff mate. I started following your blog as I've just started getting into Niche Sites myself (currently have 4, waiting for all of them to get indexed and do the Google dance before I start anything major). It looks like you're well on your way to reaching your goal of $240/day.

Good Information, But the main problem is that IM guys are unable to Implement these ideas due to their busy schedule. Knowledge without action is scrape IMO.

Best Wishes!

Agreed, more doing and less posting here. The ones with 3000+ posts are the ones not making money. Ok I kid I kid. ;)
