[Method] Digg Domination and Making $xxxx Over Night

Lol, when searching for digg monoply I came across a digg story where the user said they had the mcdonalds monopoly boardwalk stamp and needed the park place and they would split the money 50/50. That got a shit ton of responses from gullible people. Seemed like a good idea but youd obviously have to do it when the game was active.

To the people asking why content locking isn't good for this traffic are idiots. Obviously people aren't going digg the story if they have to do a survey to see it.

Adsense is probably the best way to monetize but it does depend on your niche. One thing that the OP forgot to mention is on your news site you want to pressure the user into digging your article. At the end of the article have a digg button and big red arrows pointing to it.

Even better, don't use wordpress. Use a flog [fake-blog] these look like legit websites.

Don't be surprised if your article doesn't go viral because I know for a fact that it's not this easy. Better yet, write a script that changes the button depending on referrer. If a stumbleupon user comes to your site they will see a stumble button, if they come from digg.com they will see a digg button :)

nice method mate , i am not a big fan of digg before but i am gonna test it on my websites .i am into Press releases and they works killer for me but this has given me an option which is quite different and can get the PR i made go viral .

thanks again to OP and all other who provided awesome values to this thread

i never thought of making a fake story to draw people in or get them interested... that is just about the most genius idea ever and i wouldn't call it 200% blackhat because who knows the world is pretty big so your "story" could actually be happening somewhere and you wouldn't even know it :) lol

Reminds me of a Sunday morning show on TBS back in the 70's. It was called "The Good News". All the stories where just that. Human interest stories that warmed the heart.

If that program was still around we would have ton's of easy relevant content. :)

These stories are harmless unless we pretend to kill anybody. May be a celebrity! :D

Has anyone actually tried this method yet?

I would do so, but my host wouldn't look to favorably on 100K traffic. And no, I can't afford VPS hosting at the moment :p
