these are the results from my current ad strategy, about 30% profit
i can't guarantee if this will work for everyone but this is basically what i did to generate these results. this is the second day i'm running this scaled campaign, yesterday was $2089 revenue at around 9% profit so still above break even for 2 days in a row. here is the strategy:
testing phase
*make sure your pixel is completely fresh with no other events on it*
day 1:
1 campaign, ad set budgets, 10 ad sets (1 interest per ad set),
4-5 creatives per adset. basically make a 30 second video, rearrange the leading 3 second clip 5 times to get 5 rearranged videos, those are your creatives
$5 per creative, so if you have 4 creatives, $20 per adset. 5 creatives = $25 per adset
target only the US, ages 18+, all genders, english all, exclude drop shipping, aliexpress, and shopify, bid strategy will always be lowest cost
let this campaign run for 3 days straight. towards the end of the 3rd day get started on these changes:
day 3:
calculate your breakeven ROAS. basically (sales price) / (sales price - product cost from supplier)
look at all your ad sets, kill the ones below the break even roas. if you only have 1 or 2 active adsets remaining, i suggest making a new batch of creatives and start over from day 1 with that. you want the campaign to at least break even after 3 days of running. it's okay if you lost a little money though, just not too much
after you kill the below roas ad sets. dupe the remaining ones to $50/day, so you have the original + duped. then add new interests. 1 new interest per remaining adset, also start a retargeting campaign. if people want to know more how to do this i can elaborate
you repeat this process every 3 days. just killing below breakeven and adding new interests. your goal is to get to 100 purchases and break even. if you're losing a little money that's ok, but try not to
it's very important that your product is good and so is your product page. a good facebook ad strategy will NOT help you if your product page sucks or if your product sucks. so please do a lot of research and pick a good product. and make sure your product page looks decent. as long as i don't get spammed i'll be happy to look at your product page and tell you what i think. please be serious about improving or doing well though, no point for both of us to waste our time if you don't plan to make improvements
scaling phase
ok so that was the testing phase. you got up to 100 purchases solely from the USA while ideally breaking even, now it's time to profit
make a CBO campaign and structure like this: 1 campaign -> 1 ad set -> 1 ad. the 1 ad should be your highest performing ad from the testing phase, most purchases basically. set up the ad set as follows:
make a 10% purchase LLA targeting world wide in the audiences section. 10% means you include everyone from 0-10% in the audience. in the adset, similar settings as the testing phase but some differences: no interests, custom audience is the LLA, countries will be epacket countries, this is the list i am using

the verum ecom guys use this exact list and they have spent millions on facebook ads and they've seem to have done well. just remember to remove countries like french territories US virgin islands, aland islands. basically anything that auto adds itself that isn't a country on the list
start this campaign at $1,000 per day. or you can start it at $250 or $500 if you don't want to go too hard right away.
then just let it run. that's what i've been doing. i think the reason it's working so well is because the initial data is so strong. it's a purchase LLA using USA traffic. what i'm seeing is almost all my visitors are coming from the US and canada. so facebook is funneling a lot of high quality USA traffic to you. and the traffic seems to be very targeted cause you make the LLA based off your pixel data, it's a value-based LLA which uses customer lifetime values. i think that's what causes the results to practically explode and compound on itself, cause the audience is being built from high quality users
so simply put, get to 100 purchases purely from USA as fast as you can. then make a 10% purchase LLA and put it at $1,000 per day. i haven't scaled past that at this point cause i'm seeing just how consistent this campaign is. i'll be starting more stores doing it exactly like this, then go back and start scaling up the stores to $2k, 3k, 5k+ per day in ad budget, basically seeing how much i can really push these campaigns until they start tanking in performance
this is what i've found to work great for me, good luck everyone
