Link building is basically relationship building. I use Twitter to build relationships to get solid contextual links to my affiliate site.

Used only this single strategy to get 191 referring domains in 6 months. I'm not even working hard to get these links, its all automated using few free + paid tools:

1 - Crowdfire to send automated DM's
2 - Tweepi to grow my Twitter account
3 - Manage Flitter to clean up the inactive followers
4 - Hootsuite or Social Board for scheduling tweets.

tldr; first, you'll need 35000 followers, second, you have to start DMing businesses, and then you respond if they respond

Hey The SEO, thanks for sharing this. I love that you made it work with an affiliate site. I have a couple of questions, if you don't mind explaining a little bit more:

- How thin is your affiliate site? I mean, does it have good content, is it informative, has good design? the kind of website than nobody would hesitate to link to? Or is it more "your typical affiliate site" that upon first look you realize it was made just to get some leads/sales and everybody would think twice before linking to?

- From whom do you ask links? I mean, if your affiliate site is, let's say, a camping gear affiliate site, who is more interested in getting to your Twitter followers, and thus more willing to give you that link? My first guess would be businesses that sell related stuff to what you sell, but are not direct competition. But it would be awesome to know what has worked best for you.

Thank you again

You can do the second part with a bot. When they reply, you can reply manual.

Hadn't thought of this. I don't do much Twitter but I can't see myself wanting to build up 35,000 followers even with automation tools. Could just buy a bunch of follows it's not like they'll know your followers are bought.

Are the same guy who share about this strategy on Stuart Walker FB group?
Or you are just using his images??

White hat seo doesn't exist from Google's perspective...
