[Method] Amazon to eBay Drop-shipping Done Right! Spoon Fed! *Long/Detailed*

Amazing stuff. Nice to see people are using amazon, eBay to make money. Specially college students. I paid my Junior & Senior year in college selling items on eBay 2010/11.

Hey,

So I've been trying out this method for a few days now, and I'm having a little bit of difficulty.

I've listed 6 items so far, and my eBay account is almost a year old but has no sales record or sales feedback. The item with the most views has 15 views, nothing else. The rest of my listings don't go above 10. I've been trying to stay away from popular products, and I've listed in different categories, but so far not much seems to be making any beef. I've followed all the guidelines, read the whole thread, researched Best Match algorithms and tried my best to include a product page that doesn't suck. So I have a couple of questions...

  1. Do you experience this often? Do a bunch of your products simply not bring anything in and you just have to get lucky with the good ones? Or does it just take time?
  2. What is your biggest tip or guideline for finding good sellable products on Amazon?
  3. Do you think starting out with 0 feedback is really hindering? What was it like when you started?
  4. I've only listed 6 items as I'm taking time to find good products, do you think my problems just come down to not listing enough?

I've been lurking on this forum for a while now, this is the first method I've come across that made me get out of my seat and try to make something happen, so I'm really hoping I can get somewhere with it. I've never made any real money via IM, because I've never committed myself to anything long enough before, I really want it to work for me this time. Thanks for the guide man and thank you for being awesome responding to everyone in the thread. :)

You said it yourself, you have 0 feedbacks. As safe as eBay/Paypal are, people like to see sellers that have good ratings. So not only are you just beginning to test items, but you have no track record. My account is 9 years old, therefore I had around 50 feedbacks when i started this method that were from selling personal items through the years.

You just have to be patient. If you can't handle that or are not willing to accept that, then you might as well stop now. You're going to have to list thousands of items before you get a large group of regularly selling items. Some of my items that sold only got 15 views a month, but sold once or twice during that period. Every item is different, but you can't start making assumptions when you just started. I think all items should be listed to the best of your ability for 30-60 days before moving on if you haven't made a sale.

What about when ebay holds your funds? Then how do you buy and ship the product out? Looking forward to your response OP or anyone who can help.

If you read the thread, you will see when I say I've never had funds held, so I don't know what you're talking about.

Having trouble finding items people actually want that have a profit margin.

What do you mean? Did you read the original post in it's entirety? You set your own profit margin... Take some items and list them higher on eBay with the best listings and titles you can. 90% of my sales were on items that WEREN'T the lowest price. The whole entire point of the way I use this method is for people to be able to make sales without having to sacrifice profit. eBay is littered with garbage listings that only make sales because they are cheap. If you make a listing that is the most detailed and has the richest title, you can decide your profit margin to an extent.

If you don't understand that this is the whole entire point of the thread, then please re-read it.

Just made my first sale. I'd been flipping goods I found around my area, but wanted to get into dropshipping. Found an item for ~$160 on Amazon, sold on eBay for $240. After fees, $45 profit per item if I can get sales moving.

nice man keep it up. i have also considered signing up for terapeak. it shows alot of useful data.

One more question. Can I dropship from eBay to Amazon ?

That IS a good question, but from the sounds of it it may just be easier to stay with just selling on ebay.I heard Amazon is a little more complicated to sell on and now knowing about the whole "buy box"thing I probably wouldn't even worry about it not to mention you need upc codes I believe.

Hi there.

I followed this method and listed a couple of items. After 3 or 4 days ebay suspended my account. The reason why I do believe they did this is because I'm outside of US and they are trying to be extra cautious.

Should I start using an US IP or any other cloaking system ?

If someone from outside the US did manage to flip it, can you please help me out on this one :D

Cheers

"Part 7 (Ordering): When you make a sale, you now need to buy the item from Amazon. Order your item using your Credit/Debit card and the billing address the card requires. For the shipping address, copy and paste the address of your buyer from eBay. That's it! Very simple."
I have a question here :
1- We use our money or money received from buyer ?
2- What if buyer deny paying incase we've already paid for product by our money ?
Thank

1- You use the money from the buyer. When the buyer from ebay buys the product the money will be paid up front into you PP account. That's when you use that money to order the product from Amazon.
2- There is no such think as denied payment as Ebay makes sure all the transactions will go really smooth for the seller and the buyer as well. There is even an option on your sales listing where it says that you can require all the money up front when the buyer made the purchase.

Considering you're gonna get paid through paypal and buy through amazon you're GONNA have to have some investment.Amazon doesn't take paypal, now if you get a paypal card then maybe yes BUT Paypal still holds funds I believe for a while(they held my funds but if you get more feedback and seniority it may immediate release.)

Do you use the good till cancelled option?

Methods working nicely for me. Just hit $50 a day

Hey I have a question.
When I sell something to eBay does the payment goes instant to my pp or I have to wait until the buyer get the package etc? If yes that means I have to invest until I get my money from ebay right ?

For a few of my items that are always in stock, yes I do.

If you are that new to eBay, then you shouldn't even be trying or attempting to make money with a method like this. You should actually go to eBay and read on how it works and sell a few of your own items before jumping into this.

My eBay account is 1 year old, that I used to buy.
You said that I have to sell some of my items. Do I have to sell my own items because to release pp payment hold or because I can get banned if I start reselling from Amazon.
ps, Thank you so much for your detailed method.

One of my items sells 6 times per day at $5 profit, now amazon won't let me buy anymore because they have a limited quantity that I can buy. Have you ever got this?

I suggested you sell your own items to learn how eBay selling works. The question you asked me involved the easiest and most simple process of eBay. If you don't know how selling works, you will fail with this message. So, by selling your own items, you won't lose money if you mess up. That's totally up to you though. Reading on eBay how it works would help.

Yes, this happened plenty of times. Likely your item is on sale right now or is a very popular selling item. Just make another account like your first and buy with that. You can use all the same information to create the account, other than the email of course. In my experience, this selling limitation lasts 1 week before you can buy another with this first account.

First off; I would like to thank you for posting this method. I love it, and I'm going to get started right away.

A couple of questions that I would love to have answers to, if you will:
-Do you use any apps/websites/software to track and monitor price changes on Amazon listings? My biggest fear is the price going up and making a sale in my store, only to find out that my listing won't make me any money (or could potentially cost me). This could be circumvented by being notified immediately when one of my chosen Amazon products has a price change upwards or downwards.
-The "scale" of your store and the items you chose nets you around $2000 a month for an hour of work a day (If I recall correctly from your original post). Theoretically, would scaling this up around 3 times to potentially make $6000 a month take around 3-4 hours a day (probably a little more due to keeping up with price changes and listing maintenance)?

Thank you in advance. I'm going to start choosing and thinking of items to dropship. I cannot wait to get started.
