Would depend on how you do it, and your % conversation rate in your particular niche..

It could be very well that your site is not as "well designed" as you claim. I visited your site and it needs quite a few touches, looks very amateur.
Perhaps the reason why those impressions never turn into any clicks?
 
such little payout doe. Only 400/month at that rate. When thumbs upping comments, do you have to break the chain (clear cookies, cache, etc) in order for them to count? Or can you just log out, log in next account and thumbs up the comment, repeat?

Depends. It's a question of doing it and finding out. Youtube is twitchy. I've had many sessions where me and my partner, have not had to do anything.
 
Hey all, I'm bumping this because the new G+ comments (as terrible as they are) have opened up new avenues to this method. Spin, use your mind, and convert/bank!
 
This idea is awesome for new internet marketers who wanted to get exposed to the industry, keep it up.
 
Thanks to this method I earned about 500-600$ since August. Most of my money I earned during summer, but it is more difficult now beacuse Youtube changed commenthing algorhythm (top comments don't depend on likes anymore). Now you should be more focus on SEO and getting some organic traffic. I had about 7-8% conversion rate when I was promoting my site in YTB comments, now from organic traffic is about 2% conversion.

Let me contribute a little bit to the thread, first there's a screenshot from MgCash:

I would earn so much more, probably 100% more, if I didn't go to free hosts. They are all the same, as soon as you get traffic, they start to block your website due to "high bandwith". My site was down about 15-20 days, because I was moving it to different free hosts. Better go to some cheap offshore hosts like: Blue Angel Host, Underhost etc. They are 3-4$ a month, and they don't ask questions.

You can also add a Facebook script to your site. So a visitor should like or share your website before he can access it. Example how script works is here:

Thanks for the share! Shall try this out soon, although the only problem is finding the right niche that isn't overused.
 
Sadly, youtube has become more strict with commenting which makes this more difficult.

I know people who have adapted to the G+ interface, it does require more work though.
