Hey BHW, so I’ve been lurking on this forum for a bit now and had my fair share of tries in IM with little to no success. Im currently a student studying film and like many of you, thought that IM would be my “big break” to make some big bucks, alas the results of my various tries have proved otherwise.
Since my current websites werent producing any results, I decided to scrap all the work I’ve put in over the months and decided to do something a little more unorthodox. So, here is my little method on how I made $100 in a week through CPA.
1. Make a website with a creepy jumpscare (ie. the scary maze or a colorblind “eye test”) The more interesting the set up before the scare, the better.
2. After the scare, the website would redirect to another website with cute images of animals (ie. dogs, cats, pigs) as eyebleach.
3. Load your cute animals website with offers.
For advertising, I posted to groups that would appeal to the younger types (ie meme groups or scary groups) and messaged the website link to my friends as a “prank”. Naturally, people would share this link to prank their other friends and this is how it would spread. I really didnt expect it to work, but my guess was that people would remain on my cute animal website to get rid of the jumpscare trauma.
Honestly, I believe this method to be short lived, but it has resparked my passion for IM. Through this little experiment, I learned that HOW you advertise and the quality of your advertisement is so much more important than the actual method.
