Yeah this works globally as long as your country has a store similar to a dollar store.
And to sell internationally you do need a verified account yes.

Thank you AlexaR. Yup this works in any economy and is stable. That is what you need especially starting out is some stability.
You do not have to worry about Penguins, Panda's or Vero with this one. And the quality of the items are of course great.

I would also like to add that when you normally drop ship from some "Supplier" you do not know the quality
of the items and that can present problems when doing business online. Allot of people do not have the money
for samples and want to sell before they buy. This is risky because you are selling an item you have never
touched or seen.

But with this method you can start out with items you know will land you quality feedback or a good shop
reputation.

This method works and can be tweaked to fit almost any product. Will work for CL as well as EB if you have the right products. I bought 40,000 baseball cards at a thrift store for $100 one time and have my kids selling them on eBay for their spend money and to save towards their first car. They haven't even sold 25% of them yet and made over a $1,000. OK, so maybe you don't want to sell plumber's helpers, but you can find something that will fit the model that @unclemike laid in your lap. Especially for those struggling to make their first few dollars or finding enough money to buy the other tools and resources they need to kick their IM career in higher gear.

Maybe you could find an outlet store to buy these items for resale? Depending on the price it is still plausible.

Here is a little tip to this method to really scale up and make bigger profits on items. It most cities around the united states and other countries you can find resturant supply stores. All you need with most of these places is a business id from your state and government to get a membership. They are wholesale cash and carry stores that stock items geared twoard businesses that you can buy at wholesale prices. You dont need a memebership to look around the store just to buy items. You may think a resturant supply store carries just food your dead wrong. They have loada of misc. Items loak spoons, plates, cups, mops, janitorial supplies. Floor mats things that are in demand by business owners and people on ebay who dont know how to find these items. Best of all everything is priced at wholesale and tax free with the right paper work.

If someone really wants to run with this, you can buy by the case online at dollaritem (can't post links yet) So far, flameless candles look good!

Putting it that way makes it sound worth a shot ;-P although I'm more partial to garage sales and thrift shops for my eBay finds and it's a hell of a lot easier now then it was before smart phones. Now I don't have to waste time buying stuff that won't sell.

the shipping cost would matter IMO. There is a minimum which is about $2-$5.

Garage sales and thrift shops can be goldmines sometimes for eBay and eCommerce. The dollar store is just more solid
on daily items they carry. But sure Garage sales and thrift shops are good.

Yes, it does matter indeed. Shipping within the USA is not to expensive especially for light daily items. Most items you can
factor in this cost and if you cannot then find a new item

This is one of those solid tactics that bring in small, but definite money, cash that can be the difference in affirming a newbie's morale ("yes I am making money in IM") or supplying quick side money to sustain him while doing other, more "major banking" level stuff. It can help build an eBay account's reputation and history quickly with lots of small, fast sales. It can also be modified for classified sites besides CL.

Nice e commerce method.

To all the people complaining, it is not necessary to buy dollar store items. The Op stated you can invest $10 and get $30 or invest $50 and $150.

Its the basic principle of what the Op is trying to say. As with all methods posted you must put your own twist and improve on the idea. Furthermore it is to take action and implement instead of just reading.
