Metas Not Updating

Hey all,
I have a website where the meta title and description just will not update. I have changed the meta title and description a bunch of times. In "fetch as Google" it shows the proper newly updated metas - but in the SERPs they're different!

For example, I have changed the meta title to "Play free [game] online | [brand] [game]" but the serps show "[game] - [brand]." This isn't an issue of Google hasn't recrawled the page yet - we're talking about months where the change hasn't been indexed on a site that is in the Alexa top 10k.

I have never run into anything like this before. Ideas???

Maybe you forgot to empty your cache (cache of your website, not your browser cache).
That happens to me sometimes
