Meta's metaverse is brewing a storm

I am also developing apps and they spammed me with lots of emails regarding metaverse. Looks like they put a lot of effort in it, but it could also be possible also those tech guys and indie developers are now teaming up to jump on the hype train to eventually get rich quick.

There is definitely a lot of potential in it. If you want to be rich and you know how to code, probably Metaverse is the best option at the moment. Another great opportunity will be Apple soon, when they release their AR/VR glasses.

I'd love to make money with this, but who's actually going to use the metaverse, if you can actually get the same thing on VR chat which has existed for like 10 years?
 
Microsoft meh are they even developing anything special? They had a chance to be huge leaders, but now they’re not really that big so it makes sense why those people left, but I hope it’s a long term project and not word done and fired type

Because its capitalism. Besides Facebook funding a lot of developers, big companies will also jump on the hype train as well to earn even more money. They dont want to miss out. If its really the next big thing and they are missing out, it could cost them millions/billions. Just see what happened to Nokia and when smartphones (iPhone and Android) got released
 
Metaverse is going to totally change the world as we know it. I'm curious to see if they can ever control crimes, racism, child exploitation, hate speech, sexual harassment etc. in Metaverse. They are mostly targeting teens but have no privacy and security features.
